I certainly don't want just anyone carrying, but criminals will have theirs no matter.
In Texas, the gun came from the kids father. His dad was a felon. Gun was not legal. Laws do nothing in this case.
As a Vet you know they tend to target Vets for ptsd and want to disarm Vets. Never trust the VA that is for sure.
In WVa this week an armed woman dropped a man with an ar15 that wanted to shoot up a grad party. More open carry might be a good thing? Frankly the big blue cities have the strictest laws and the highest gun violence. Something doesn't add up.

I'd like to point out, the big liberals cities in other first world countries don't seem to have this problem. Remember growing up and not having to practice active shooter drills?

Man just the other night an officer was shot and killed while another officer was shot with a tribal member. This is the second offier to be killed in the line of duty in 3 years on my reservation.

No I did not know the officer, I think he was from a different reservation from up north. But these days you can't let your guard down.
