I've heard lots of blame thrown around, but not once have I heard any one blame the shooter. I own a few fire arms and never have they left the safe, gone out and hurt any one all on their own, I needed to do something for them to fire...personnal responsibility.

I agree. People need to demonstrate that they are capable of personnel responsibility to own and operate a firearm. Seems like a reasonable requirement.

They don't need to demonstrate it, it's all just blind good faith. The problem.

True, but invasion of privacy and violation of Constitutional Rights is plain wrong. If more people were carrying that would help. Why are so many shootings in gun free zones?

Look at what happened at a graduation party in W Virginia the last couple days. Guy pulled out an ar-15 and started shooting. Woman pulled her handgun and dropped him on the spot.

Until we as a country begin to hold people accountable in a serious manner,  it won't matter.

We have no fault auto accidents, no fault divorce, excuses for everything, and the violent ones claiming to be the victims. When they are arrested they get off. Rye for an eye. Bring on the death sentence. The sheriff In Florida was right. If some one breaks in, shoot them dead on the spot. Save the tax payers lots of money!

How about we hold people accountable by making sure they aren't crazy and aren't violent criminals?

Who makes those decisions?
After my Marine  Corps days the Air Force wouldn't take me because I was a "trained killer". Is the military a good judge?
How about a court room with a judge? All depends on the judge and the day of the week it is. Maybe half the judges In this country are more corrupt than the people standing before them in court.
Politicians? That would be the shit blaming the fart for the horrible lasting smell in the room.
The FBI? CIA? Doesn't get any more corrupt than those two groups.
Let's face it, we live in a world of stupid and corruption. The answer will never be to disarm law abiding citizens.

Who makes the decisions to arrest and convict people now?

Open your eyes, they may not be 'good' people.

It ALL needs to change!

No system is perfect. What you are proposing would make us less safe unless there is a way to vett who is qualified to own a gun.

Now we are getting the truth?

This shooter self announced this four years ago? Said he would shoot up the school his senior year.
Police told to stand down, not enter the school?

Terrible loss of life for sure, but this was not handled right. It is likely being used for gun control politics.

We also found out recently that the Vegas shooting was FBI related. Hmmm

Of course some people saw that right away. They were called conspiracy theorists.

I do not depend on the fire department for safety. I have fire extinguishers in my home.
I do not depend on the police department the same way.

You're literally proving my point now. IF the police new about it they could have prevented him from purchasing a firearm.

This is why I am all for people who want to own a firearm go through a minimum of few hours of basic firearms safety training before purchasing a firearm so they don't accidentally shot themselves of have their kids accident shoot their friends.

I have not heard about this, could you elaborate on that statement?

For what it's worth, Wikileaks makes this claim. One would hope Julian is off base, but who knows. Do I trust the FBI when it comes to being truthful? No way in hell. Why would any Arizona fan?
