LG are you suggesting the FBI or some shadow agency is behind every school shooting in the US that posted? This is not a joke. People are really dying and we keep letting irresponsible people or people who are mentally ill buy firearms. This has got to stop.

The law! Yes the courts are corrupt, but IF we live by the law, then order is restored! The Constitution being the starring point.

See, the PEOPLE are supposed to hold government accountable.  The media and government make anyone who oppose them out to be the bad guy, but that is exactly what is supposed to happen.

Capital punish is not correlated with any major reduction in gun violence:

You didn't,   but many making that argument do swing that way. Also, I for one do not trust our government. Even on the statis of who is punished as you brought up earlier. But if we don't do our best to uphold the law and hold individuals accountable,  we will never fix the issues. Seems criminals have no fear of the law anymore because it is never really held up.

I was not making the argument for a total gun ban. You were just jumping to conclusion. As a former military officer, I'm all for more funding for law enforcement to actually enforce the laws we have. But the even if we see a massive increase in enforcement we cannot put a LEO in every classroom, mall, church, and large gathering. If private citizens want to own and operate a firearm for protection, I'm also ok with that. But for christ sake we have some sort of reasonable expectation that someone isn't a complete nut job before we allow them to own and operate a firearm?
