How was the situation with Stoudamire?

I couldn't / didn't follow the program at the time.
The simplest way of putting it would be that Stoudamire was not in agreement with everything that Miller was doing.
This is obvious as most assistants do not see everything their HC is doing, but to have someone with his pedigree sitting on your bench, and to have a disagreement?
This is something that I have noticed with the majority of Lute disciples that have come back to Arizona do not end up staying long.

Hopefully JET is able to hit the ground running with Arizona.
His ties to the Northwest (Seattle) will hopefully pay off sooner than later.
When you add in his NBA ties/pedigree, I am going to hope that would give Arizona a head start with some prospects.

More than anything, I want some consistency with the assistants. I don't know if most people appreciate how difficult it is for a program to suffer through that much turnover on the bench year after year. Throw in the fact that roster turnover has been worse and it's frankly miraculous that we've been competitive over the last few years. I don't know if this is on Miller or the assistants but it would be nice to keep our current staff intact for at least a few seasons.

Well all of what you have mentioned is true, but one of the things that does not get mentioned as much is that our assistants do not get paid as much as other elite programs.

I get the notion of leaving Arizona to be a HC at another program, but to make a lateral move to be on another staff is one thing that I personally have contributed to not being paid enough here at Arizona.
When you look at other schools that you consider to be elite (Kansas/Kentucky/Duke/North Carolina) and even most of them that are on that 2nd tier, you do not see them losing assistants at the rate that we do.

True  lots of turnover  with assistant  coaches at Arizona  for different reasons  as well as players .

The highest paid Assistant coaches in college basketball make roughly 375k, it's not a pay issue.

I would love it if Miller could find a "Rosborough" that stays on the bench throughout the entire career. Book would have possibly been that guys, but we know how that story ended.

I personally like the assistant turnover. Lots of Miller assistants went on to run their own programs, which is a positive for Arizona. The more assistants that come in, the more influence that Miller can absorb from younger innovative minds.

As time went on, the Cats slowly learned to beat the zone. Our defensive scheme occasional unchanges (for VERY short periods of time) and the recruits are coming from all over.

Terry will be perfect on the recruiting trail because he has recent NBA experience. Kids know his name and he will rep the school well.

I am excited for terry to be hired I cant wait but what I will say is  I kinda miss  landing some of the east coast kids that Arizona  kids like  a tj rondae  parrom  kids that were tough an were from east coast that seems to be gone now with book  Richardson screwing up I would not mind  Miller bringing  in a coach with east coast  connections in the future   though I wonder if Miller does not really  care to try to pull kids from those areas anymore  unless he thinks he can not land them anymore an thinks it is a waste of time he is pretty much  focusing on west coast only  either way I like terry for the job cant wait.
