While I do enjoy Miller staying true to the whole "Past/Present/Future" mantra of the Arizona program, I do remember how the situation was when Stoudamire was here.

Congrats to JT and welcome to the staff!
I hope that he is able to come in and give our program some extra juice...

How was the situation with Stoudamire?

I couldn't / didn't follow the program at the time.

Don't know much but, Stoudamire was an Olson disciple (run and gun).  Left program to join Pastner in Memphis (run/gun system) to be closer to his family in Alanta, then took job in California...!? Just a clash of styles, maybe?

I really  like jt hiring he has no experience  in coaching I dont think it matters    I think he will be good an with recruiting  I think he will be really good you can already Arizona  offering kids from Washington  area   there is some people that think Miller an jt will clash hopefully  not I think if Miller thought there would be a problem he would not bring him in.

I don't know how accurate it was, but at the time I remember hearing that mighty mouse didn't really want to work as hard as Sean demanded.  Could have just been BS but there were certainly rumors that was the case.

Yah I'm sure Stoudamire didn't want to work hard, lmao. Pastner in known for punching the clock, and demands the same. So he left one coach for almost the same work ethic, that makes sense. It's okay for people to have personality clashes and want to leave. Maybe it's time to actually look at the HC for once, it's not like the program hasn't had an extreme amount of turnover. ( leaving, taking other jobs or being let go) If it works out with JT I'll be excited and give Miller credit for adjusting and valuing assistance. JT is exactly what the program needs, excitement, energy and articulate/ media presence.

The simplest way of putting it would be that Stoudamire was not in agreement with everything that Miller was doing.
This is obvious as most assistants do not see everything their HC is doing, but to have someone with his pedigree sitting on your bench, and to have a disagreement?
This is something that I have noticed with the majority of Lute disciples that have come back to Arizona do not end up staying long.

Hopefully JET is able to hit the ground running with Arizona.
His ties to the Northwest (Seattle) will hopefully pay off sooner than later.
When you add in his NBA ties/pedigree, I am going to hope that would give Arizona a head start with some prospects.
