Are You Happy Or Sad About Arizona Leaving The PAC12 Wildcat Fans?

I am Happy that Arizona was able to get out of the PAC12 before it imploded with the mass exodus of teams. Change is always scary and seems bad at first, but I think we're in for some really fun and good times in the BIG12.

Thank god. I live in the eastern time zone and watching basketball games is always brutal. Other than that, I've been ready to leave the Pac-12 ever since "he touched the ball"... for me this is amazing on multiple levels. Excited to see what comes of this

Being back in Indiana this is solid. TV, and I can make some games. Cincinnati not that far, maybe 3 hours. WVa is just about 6 hours.
Bout 8 hours from Ames Iowa
10 hours from the Kansas schools
OSU is just under 12 hours, but I have relatives within an hour of OSU and both Kansas schools. Guess I will be attending a few games.

I am interested in seeing how this affects Tommy Lloyd's momentum. Team composition. Recruiting. It will all have to change. The Big12 is not a Conference where you can play patty cake. So this whole International team concept may need to come to an end.

In terms of Football, maybe we can get Nebraska back for the drubbing they laid on us at the Holiday Bowl way back when. Otherwise I don't expect much. Maybe Jedd will recruit better, maybe he won't. We should be worse off in that regard.

As far as the other sports go - I have no idea what other sports are going to the Big 12.

I'll definitely miss the rivalries because the 12 teams out west were a good fit to play together. It's a shame that the league was poorly mismanaged under Larry Scott and the PAC-12 network debacle. Kliavkoff didn't have a chance to "fix" what was broken.

I'm obviously the happiest of the fans.  As mentioned above, games will start at reasonable times, games will be accessible for national fans, the recruit base will expand, competition will improve for basketball, television exposure is better, and revenue will drastically grow (which was the driving force behind the expansion).

Actually I don't remember the last time we played a Big12 school in anything regular season Football/Basketball besides maybe a game vs Baylor with no one at the arena. There are some pretty good matchups to be had for both sports. It will not be a walk in the park for Basketball. I just hope they give us a fair shake to start off and don't hide Kansas from having to come to Tucson for basketball.

Nebraska is part of the Big10, so probably not a good example, but my theory for football is we may get back to limping bowl eligible level and maybe run into a team like that if the bowls shift around which conferences make the games because of this conference implosion.

What's not to like? Two best things about the move is trading in for competent, forward thinking leadership that promotes it's best programs and the visibility that will come with that. And upping our comp in hoops which will better prepare us for March. Win-win in my book.

Only sad part for me was I wish we woulda left the scummies behind.

Bittersweet.  I'll miss the Oregon and UCLA battles, but look forward to playing Kansas every year.  It's great for Arizona.  The game time changes will be great for us east-coasters
