I think Kansas is an equal replacement for the UCLA rivalry. Although the assu rivalry is good for the state, I wish Crow didn't beg his way into the deal. Would be nice to see them in limbo with the other soon-to-be mountain west schools.

It was absolutely the right move but the basketball history with Stanford, UCLA, Oregon and even Washington will be a thing of the past.  Luckily new history can be made with the new schools but it will take time to develop and change over time.

On the football side I am very happy to drag ASU with Arizona because the in state rivalry is about all that most fans have had to look forward to in a very long time. Short of an unlikely expanded playoff birth some day that game carries more buzz than the lesser bowl games anyway.

Where will Arizona end up in the next big shake up in 3-5 years?

I assume that the Big-12 is our permanent home until the recent NIL changes eventually kill all college athletics.

I guess there could be an opportunity to realign all divisions after the "megaconferences" have formed so Arizona could play the most efficient geographic schedule but the NCAA will have to be overthrown to make that happen (which isn't impossible).

I don't perceive any of those "Rivalries" to have any substance outside of the Miller Era.

Mike Montgomery vs. Lute, The Baron Davis Bruins? Long before t. lloyd or Sean Miller.

I can agree there was some Arizona vs UCLA beef back in the days, barely. The Pac10 had some "eras" of teams. Stanford had some good teams (Lopez Twins, Casey Jacobson). UCLA went to 3 final 4's in a row I believe either at the way end of Lutey Ball or in between Lute and Sean. I don't really acknowledge Mike Montgomery vs Lute though.
