Three years of probation.

A $5,000 fine plus 1% of the men's basketball program budget (self-imposed by the university).

A five-year show-cause order for the former assistant coach. During that period, any NCAA member school employing him must restrict him from any athletically related duties unless it shows cause why the restrictions should not apply.

Aokay

In another two or three years, when our investigation begins to wind down, and an untold number of high-target recruits have taken a pass, we might get lucky and receive the same punishment. I can't help but wonder if any of the geniuses that come to these sorts of decisions take into account the damage done by their procrastination. I doubt it. Bureaucrats always find a way to rationalize their actions, or lack thereof.
