The staff is 10x better than last season...but still has a long way to go.  I expect a lot of progress next year, especially from the bullpen.

Summary from my POV -

Solid offense, good enough to compete, However -
Poor coaching strategy including by not limited to:
Poor defensive analytics.
Poor pitch selection.
Poor situational execution.

Need to get some collaboration going with the teachers and students who are in the Game Theory and Statistics part of Eller to start helping out this baseball team because the program is not being run at it's full potential as it stands.

The defensive positioning is pretty baffling at times.  Our defenders "shift" to play opposite-field hits...when we're throwing change-up pitchers.

Losing our two best relievers in the postseason hurt because it made Arizona seem like we didn't have any arms in the bullpen.  Our starters have never been stellar but they're young.  Not ONE Senior was in the Top-6 of our "innings pitched" this season, so we have room for growth if our pitching staff sticks around next year...
