Washington decommitted from Creighton after their coach made a remark about the plantation. Tyty was originally going to release his top 5, but after talking with coach Lloyd he has added Arizona to his top 6. He is from Arizona and UofA could land him.

Tyty highlights

Washington involved in a basketball brawl back in 2019.. He's moved on from this and is one of the best point guards in his class.

Creighton coach McDermott's comment that caused him to decommit below.

I can't believe his players continued to play for him after that comment. If they had protested, McDermott would have likely been fired but they stood up for him and accepted it as a "slip".

TyTy obviously took offense and it could benefit Arizona if he opts to play for Lloyd!

I have no idea how good TyTy is, but when an AZ kid has offers from the big boys - you make sure he knows you'd love to keep him home.

Good job.

There is a bit of baggage involved with Washington. He was involved in a huge basketball brawl and kicked off his highschool team. He's #3.

Saw him play at geico nationals he can ball

Arizona: "It's hometown. Only an hour and 30 minutes away from my house. Tommy [Lloyd] has called me twice a day since he got the job. Me and Coach [Jack] Murphy have a good relationship. One of my friends goes there. Me and Dalen [Terry] have been friends since like second grade. He's been trying to recruit me to go there."

This would be the taller version of James Akinjo right here.
Not sure if he would come with the list that he has.

The one thing that I believe Arizona has over most on that list is that their 2020 season was much better than most (LSU/UK/KU), but one just won a title (Baylor) and the other ran the PAC-12 last season (Oregon).
Who knows when it comes to this, but I think Arizona should have a puncher's chances, and things look promising on the outside trying to peak inside.

Without any inside info, I assume that KU and Arizona both have the edge. With both PG's putting their names in the portal and the recent development of Jalen Suggs, Lloyd has a nice sales pitch.

Selby is the only PG to leave Kansas without being drafted, so immediate playing time under Bill Self is huge.

Also, it wouldn't surprise me if Cal came out of nowhere and he ended up at UK. Unlikely because last season was a debacle but TyTy wants to be in the league and Kentucky knows how to get you there.
