I know this was an old interview but it still deeply saddens me.

He poured his heart and soul into our program and he was thrown to the wolves as an "example" for black coaches that did their best to ensure that their players were successful on AND off the court.

Book is truly "family" to anybody that he encounters throughout his life. I've only spoken with him briefly on a couple of occasions but he would give a kidney to an absolute stranger.

I hope he knows that he's loved by millions of friends, family, alumni, recruits, fans and fellow coaches.

$250K/year as one of the top 5 recruiters in the nation?  Pulled out of his home and cuffed at 6am in front of his family?  A brilliant basketball mind that is permanently blackballed from collegiate coaching?

Coach K is making $10MM/year, Pitino has a D-1 job, Will Wade is still at LSU and Oklahoma State STILL played in the postseason.

Book got screwed and he needs our support. If you know him...tell him that you love him. Send his info to me and I'll personally fly to Tucson and give him the biggest teary hug of my life. The dude bled cardinal and navy.
