Congratulations to former Wildcat Brandon Ashley who was just signed by Dallas!  The Mavericks announced Thursday evening they signed free agent forward Brandon Ashley.

Ashley, who played for Arizona through junior year before declaring for the draft, averaged 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 28.8 minutes during the Wildcats' second-straight season with an Elite Eight berth. He played in 95 games for Arizona in full, starting 81.
Ashley received Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and Most Outstanding Player of the Pac-12 tournament recognition as a junior, when he started all 38 games.

He signed with the Mavericks in July 2014, playing in seven preseason games before joining the Mavs-affiliated Texas Legends. Ashley was named to the developmental league West All-Star team in January 2016 before leaving to play for Germany's Alma Berlin.

He came back to play on both Mavericks summer league teams this summer, averaging 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 steal in Orlando. In six starts in Las Vegas, he averaged 11.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 block while shooting 47.4 percent from the floor.

Awesome!  Congrats to B Ashley!!!!!!!! Could tell the Mavs really like his game and now that he has that 3 point shot dialed he could be a solid NBA role player.

Wasn't it Dallas that had him on their G-League team?
Guess they saw enough in him to give him a contract.

Anybody know the details on the deal?
Is it a two-way contract?

Awesome Brandon.  I still to this day wonder what if he didn't go down with that injury up in Berkley...
