Perot was a great candidate. Just did not happen.
Trump was a Democrat years ago. He left that party because that party left him for liberalism. He only went Republican because he knew he could not win as an independent. While Trump has many issues, he was and is the lesser of two evils. That is what we all have voted on for the last 3-4 decades of government corruption. I would love to see us unseat the two party system but it will not coming any time soon as long as the corrupt media is in the pockets of the liberal push to fundamentally change our country. That IS the reason Trump is the better choice, not the answer to all of our problems. It will take the people getting together and rising up together to repair our country and government. This IS why the the division through identity politics is being used. Divided, the people cannot stand! The country cannot stand. Everyone here has the right and opportunity to post their thoughts and ideas. I encourage that. The personal attacks need to NOT be posted. It remains WE the people as long as WE the people stand together. Both parties are corrupt. The Democrats have just been taking the extremism of liberalism  WAY out there.

I would like to see some changes like:
1.) It is against the law to lie to Congress, but Congress can lie to the people? Adam Shiff swore he had evidence of Trump collusion, when there was none. Meuller spent 30 mil plus to investigate "Russian Collusion", yet ignored Russian Collusion and went after Trump and anyone associated with his campaign. Hillory was clearly colluding. Shiff lied about it. The FBI lied about it and wrongfully prosecuted Michael Flynn.
If the people cannot lie to the FBI and Congress, then it should be just as big a crime for the FBI and Congress to lie to the people!
2.) Term limits! 8 years for the President, 12 for the Senate, 8 for the House of Reps. Supreme Court a lifetime appointment? Maybe it should not be?
3.) End immediately ALL retirement benefits and pay for any and all elected officials! Why is it congress continues to rake in huge pay raises and then draw that money the rest of their lives while they continue to cut military retirement benefits and pay? They are supposed to be servants of the people! Military are servants of the country, and state in the case of guard members.
4.) Congress shall make NO law that does NOT apply to Congress. That alone would eliminate Obama care.
5.) Congressional travel. Why is it that the average travel expenses per Congressman/woman is over 2.2 mil per year? The Congress person represents an area, and has business in DC, yet we see how many just travelling everywhere and NOT representing the people in their OWN area? Any travel outside of their own district and between that district and DC should not be on the tax payer dime!

I have lots of other ideas, but these things do need addressed and how we come to resolving these issues is by being involved in our government and what the government is doing, ALL the time and not just during an election.

Exactly my point.  Vote for the lesser of two evils and get the lesser of two idiots. When we the people stop falling for the idea that the Dems and Reps control everything, the Dems and Reps will no longer control everything. When we learn to be the herder and not the herd, we will be in control. Why not start now by voting for third or fourth party candidates?

Getting rid of the Dem/Rep only system, might encourage an exchange of ideas instead of the rampant, hateful, unthinking tribalism that now exists.  It would control itself by allowing/(insisting?) that adults act like adults.
