Arizona Vs Washington 🏀 game discussion thread 1/30/20 7pm on ESPN2

The Arizona Wildcats will be eager to return to action. They have not looked good in PAC-12 play where they stand at 3-3 on the season. Arizona has only won two out of their last five games overall. They were five-point favorites in a narrow 66-65 road loss to rival Arizona State on Saturday.

Zeke Nnaji has been outstanding in PAC-12 play and has netted over 20 points in three out of his last four games. The freshman forward scored 21 points along with 11 boards in Saturday's loss and he has compiled an average of 16.9 PPG and 8.7 RPG. Nick Mannion has cooled off a bit, scoring 16 or fewer points in three out of his last four games. The freshman guard is considered a top prospect for the NBA draft and he is averaging 14.1 points and 5.8 assists per game. Josh Green is having issues with his shot and has only reached double-digits in points in one out of his last four clashes. The freshman guard is third in team scoring with 12.2 PPG

The Washington Huskies are in need of a victory. They have lost three in a row to plummet to 2-6 in conference action. The Huskies have been involved in many close games in PAC-12 action but that was not the case in a 76-62 road loss to #23 Colorado on Saturday in a matchup that had Washington labeled as 8 point dogs.

Isaiah Stewart is one of the better players in the PAC-12. The freshman forward tallied 23 points in Saturday's defeat to Colorado and has shot 75% in two straight games. Stewart is sporting an average of 18.2 PPG and 8.9 RPG. Jaden McDaniels is in a rut, scoring only a combined 21 points in his last three games. The freshman forward is having a good season overall, filing an average of 12.6 points and 6.1 rebounds. Nahziah Carter has collected 12 or fewer points in each of his last five games. The junior guard holds an average of 12.5 PPG on 44% shooting.

The Huskies are placed 47th in the country in Ken Pomeroy's college basketball ratings and stand at 9-3 on their home court. Washington is averaging 70 points, ranking them 223rd in DI. They rely on their defense and are limiting opponents to 63.4 points, good for 48th overall

Arizona if favored by -2.5

This game is an absolute must win for the Cats. After what happened at ASU, I don't think Arizona needs to learn any more lessons. Time to start playing to their potential. BEAR DOWN!

It's just a bad match-up. We struggle with teams with length. The passing lanes will be smaller (we are not a good passing team to begin with), so there will be a lot of deflections. Other factors: Rebounding and low shooting % (like Baylor and Gonzaga). Going to be an ugly game to watch.

KansasCityCats

Arizona forces a lot of 3's from opponents and UW is terrible from the perimeter. If the Huskies make their shots from the outside, it will be a rough night.

If they're consistent with the rest of their season, we have a good chance of beating their overrated recruits.

I expect a good game from Washington even though they are slumping.  they miss Quade green  but they do not have him . Arizona needs  to take care of the ball   an what will they do with stewart  I say they should run 2 guys at him an try to take the ball out of his hands.

Huskies hit all of their outside shots and it still didn't matter.

The better team won and we have a good opportunity to earn a road sweep.

I was more worried about this game. I think we get the sweep now.
