The NCAA says it has started process to give student-athletes the opportunity to benefit from their name, image and likeness. "We must embrace change..." NCAA says in release.

I love it. They can pay back their tuition, books, housing, food and sponsored gear if/when they use the university for their financial gain.

If the student athlete claims that the school isn't the reason they're obtaining endorsements, then they can go pro early and prove it.

Pretty simple...until the NCAA's new guidelines are introduced in a couple years. It's gonna be crazy.

You can bet there will be stipulations in the fine print of just what's allowed as compensation. The Ncaa will make sure they get a cut of all $$$ that comes in.
