UCLA finally finds their head coach, Cincinnati's Mike Cronin

After an article naming Pitino as their primary target, to striking out on Calipari and Bennett, to agreeing with Dixon, only to have his buyout be too expensive, to now settling on Cronin.
This would mean Cronin was their 5th choice?
Embarrassing a program with the history of UCLA has to go through so many candidates before they find their next coach.

Totally embarrassing for UCLA and the PAC 12. On the plus side Miller and Cronin don't like each other dating back to Miller's days at Xavier so hopefully the rivalry will be a good one.

I don't think Miller was at Xavier then if it was the fight I remember but Mark Lyons was on that Xavier team.

UPDATE!
BYU has filled their coaching vacancy with Utah Valley's Mark Pope.
Pope, a former NBA player, has been on the coaching staffs of Georgia and Wake Forest before he was brought on as an assistant at BYU for four seasons under former coach Rice.

According to rumors, Nevada is targeting Steve Alford as their next head coach.
Looks like he may not be out of work for very long.

With a very late departure, Michigan will now be looking for their next head coach after Beilein has opted to become the new coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

My question would be who do we believe would be a good fit for Michigan?
I would have said Alford since he had Indiana ties, but he is now at Nevada.

Bobby Hurley? It would be a definite step up from ASSu.

Juwan Howard's name has been mentioned for some NBA jobs - he doesn't have the college coaching experience but he seems like a good fit and would probably keep the team in tact.

Hurley at Michigan?
New Jersey native, went to school in North Carolina, coached in New York & Arizona.
I would say he doesn't have any strong connections up North, but I am not so sure his "antics" would be taken so kindly in Ann Arbor.
The biggest hurdle would be replacing a 12yr coach that took them to the Final Four and National Championship game.
