Okay, so he's technically not really playing since Jay Wright seems to continue to give him limited minutes, but how is he eligible? I'm not familiar with the legal process but it seems strange that Book Richardson took the fall but yet Quinerly hasn't faced any consequences. Could someone fill me in?

He supposedly didn't receive any money from Arizona.

Correct me if I'm wrong, however Book was reportedly promised $15,000 to "push" Quinerly towards the ADIDAS Agents if/when he is ready to prepare for the draft.

Since he wasn't directly involved, the NCAA can't do anything (until proven otherwise).

Still strange that Nova hasn't kept him inactive...just in case the proof is exposed that he was aware of the situation.

Hmmm I thought the initial report stated that he was given money directly?

"The document reported that Richardson took a total of $20,000 in bribes and gave most of it to a 'top point guard' who committed "around three days" before Aug. 11."

If that's the case, and Quinerly is seemingly innocent, then doesn't that also dismiss any guilt regarding Book? It seems to me that if Book is guilty then so is Quinerly. Which would mean Villanova has been playing a player that would be deemed ineligible.

This. I agree wholeheartedly with this. In my opinion, Villanova is playing with fire.

Too different issues.

Book was busted for taking the bribe.
Book supposey paid Quinerly 5k of the 20k.
If Quinerly took any money then he is ineligible by NCAA standards. Hkwever they make exceptions for Duke players by allowing them to pay back a portion of the money and continue to play.
Quinerly playing jndicates one of two things. One is he will be declared ineligie at some point and Villankva will have to vacate wins, or Two he did NOT take the money and it leaves us with onky the fact that Book took the bribe.
If Book did not pay Quinerly then there is NO case against Arizona, other than control issue. Failure to control that is. If Book did pay him then we will have to wait and see if it relates back to us.
At this point it looks mkre like Book partied on the 5k.

I believe book never paid jq. That's why be is eligible  I remember before jq. Committed to Villanova I read they were looking into his eligibility an still recruited him.

What's interesting is jq could  have been in a Arizona uniform if he  never took money  which means j Cole would not be at Arizona.

Weren't charges dropped against one of the four AC's that we're arres because he said he never paid a player with the money. If Book didn't pay JQ, then charges should also be dropped (taking a bribe to guide a player toward an agent isn't a crime or NCAA violation... only paying a player is). The fact that Book is still charges must mean there's actual evidence he paid some amount of money to a player (likely JQ).. Villanova probably knows they'd be winless this year without JQ, so no point in worrying about vacating wins later.
