NBA One-And-Done rule could be eliminated by the year 2021. Part of intent of one-and-done memo is giving fair warning for anyone trading future picks ahead of Thursday's draft.

Assuming they allow HS prospects to directly enter the NBA Draft, that would mean that the best of the 2020 recruiting class that would be a OND, and the best HS prospects of 2021 will all be in one draft?
Add in the other underclassmen, the seniors AND all of the overseas players?
That 2021 pool is going to be LOADED and teams could easily hit the lottery with their own picks and the talented pool of underdrafted guys that would have normally been picked under the OND format.

I suppose I would be in favor of eliminating the one and done provided the players who did choose to go to school were required to stay at least two years.

Guys should be allowed to enter whatever year they want. Forcing them to stay two years if they don't go pro is worse than the current system, where you could at least argue they need a year of living on their own and preparing their body for the rigors of the NBA. If you believe you are ready should be only guiding factor, not some trumped up Baseball system that benefits no one but the NCAA.

The system works for the other two major sports.

Football/Baseball players typically leave college with degrees...and are prepared for the pros (if they have the ability).

I love that the OND players will be out of the picture.  They have no desire to attend class & screwed up the entire collegiate system.

It's about time that the NBA woke up & changed their greedy rules...
