There is no question that Allen plays using dirty tricks.  But, the bigger question shouldn't be is he a dirty player...it should be was he doing that to please the coach.  Most who've watched college ball for at least the last decade have seen Duke players use the ol' I run into the defender just hard enough to knock him back enough/stop my forward progress, to where I'm wide open for a shot.  This went on for years.  Then there were complaints/there were more complaints/and more complaints...and then the refs started calling those fouls.  They started also warning the Duke Coach that his players would stop doing that.  Then it ended.  Now, is it just a coincidence that every recruit for years had developed that bad habit?  Or was it that there are some coaches in college basketball that teach their players to use dirty tricks? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion on this topic.  Mine?  Do I think Coach K would teach his players to use dirty tricks?  In a heartbeat.  YES!!! Was that the only dirty trick the Duke players used?  NOPE.  Is Duke the only team in college basketball that does that?  NOPE.

The real question at the end of the day, is that do you blame the player for following the coache's less than stellar methods to insure winning?  Or should the coaches that teach their players to use dirty tricks be sanctioned/fired/suspended?  You know the player has to comply or he sits the bench at the very best case.
