Former Wildcat pitcher Trevor Hoffman to be inducted into baseball HOF

Trevor Hoffman will become the first Wildcat to ever be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Arizona Wildcat legend Trevor Hoffman was selected for induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Wednesday afternoon.

Hoffman, an 18-year Major League Baseball veteran who played at Arizona in 1988 and 1989, will be the first Wildcat to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Hoffman received 79.9 percent of the vote from the National Baseball Writers Association of America. Hoffman fell five votes short of induction in 2017, but got over the 75 percent threshold this year.
