Arizona Vs Baylor 🏈 Game Preview/Discussion Thread 11/22/25 11am TNT

The Arizona Wildcats enter this matchup against Baylor riding a three-game win streak and sitting at 7–3 overall, powered by a defense that has been one of the best in the Big 12 against the pass. Arizona has allowed roughly 160 passing yards per game and has forced 20 turnovers this season, a major factor in their recent surge. Baylor, at 5–5 and fighting for bowl eligibility, brings a dangerous passing attack averaging more than 320 yards per contest. Arizona head coach Brent Brennan praised the Bears' explosive offense this week, saying, "All of their wideouts can go, and Trigg is something different. We've got our hands full." The Wildcats know the key will be limiting Baylor's big-play receivers and continuing to win the turnover battle in front of a loud Senior Day crowd.

Offensively, Arizona has been steady behind quarterback Noah Fifita, who has passed for more than 2,400 yards with 24 touchdowns and only four interceptions. The Wildcats' balanced attack and strong offensive line have allowed them to control tempo and sustain long drives. Baylor counters with quarterback Sawyer Robertson and a talented receiving group led by Josh Cameron and tight end Michael Trigg, both capable of changing a game with a single play. Arizona is favored heading into the matchup, and many expect their defensive consistency and home-field energy to give them the edge. Still, Baylor's firepower makes this a dangerous test, and the Wildcats will need to tackle well, run the ball efficiently, and avoid giving Robertson extra possessions to secure another key Big 12 win.

Both teams were on fire in the first quarter (on offense).

For the final three quarters, Arizona's defense stepped up against a QB that dominated the Big-12.

If not weren't for the early/sketchy penalties, the Cats could have won by 30+.

Great game. Looking forward to upsetting the 40 year old QB next week.

I can appreciate your Post Format here. Good job.

I am inclined to agree on about 95% of this.

The score of the game/status was dicey into the 4th.

Arizona showed some Grit and fought through some very troubling Special Teams Woes.

They have stuck to my game plan, Zigging while the Conference was Zagging with our Potent Run Game.

Noah got us into a jam or two, but otherwise managed his way maturely through it and kept our Defense's hope alive (and vice versa... as good TEAMS operate).

If we can win next week, it will mark a very strong season where I am elated to state that everyone on that team will feel Angry that they squandered to BYU and Houston.

I think a Win next week will signal more Talent to want to STAY and to Transfer IN to Arizona than it will signal a mass exodus from "Portal Offers" to leave Arizona. I am not sure our players are good enough to merit that sort of "leverage" for the most part, but I do think that a 2nd, 3rd String Former 4 or maybe even 5 Star player may want to leave the SEC or Big Ten and join US instead.

Looking forward to seeing us go up to Tempe and play a gutsy game.

We have a lot on the line. I would really like to see Arizona play Texas (or a CFP Hopeful that shit the bed). We played Oklahoma a couple years ago (without their QB and maybe more impact players), but just the Notoriety of playing against a Big program would help Brennan on his Recruiting Pitches in an clearly Wide Open Conference where CFP Hopes are not all that out of reach.
