Tyler Loop hits a 61 Yarder @DCC today for the Ravens.

Loop, appears to have been shaky at times. Missing a FG in these preseason games, but also making most of them. Loop has the Arizona Kicking Tradition behind him set by Nick Folk. He has the leg power to make a difference in the crunch. Time will tell if he can be relied on.

They should have let him kick from 70. Forget what the game scenario is. If they're 70 yards away, kick it. See what you have.

The problem with that is simple. If he misses, the other team takes over the ball right there. In an end of half or game scenario that would be fine, but otherwise very risky

I'm saying it's preseason. It doesn't really matter who wins. You're just auditioning guys and testing things out for a lot of it.

A Fair Catch Kick from 70 would have been sick!

I agree in theory, but the thing about Preseason is to emulate situations and concepts they want to work on mechanically, but never really show any cards in the process.

So any work that Special Teams can get in is valuable for them. Especially since Lamar rarely allows a FG to be kicked (often going for it on 4th or getting sacked out of reasonable FG range)

Tyler Loop has big shoes to fill. He will be subject to extreme ridicule for any misses.

I think the Ravens chose Loop on purpose. Loop was not the first Kicker off the Draft Board. The Ravens would never have messed around if there was someone better to Draft or sign in their opinion. There will always be a little bit of pressure-added in this particular season for Loop. So I am very excited to see how Loop does in the "real games".

Now that the Ravens have upgraded from Justin Tucker to Tyler Loop, Lamar will likely win his first Super Bowl.

Come on man - we all know that tradition started with Alex Zendejas :-)

I wish it were that simple, but I will say that Justin Tucker was a Rookie when the Ravens last won their Superbowl. There is a ton of Legendary things about the Franchise surrounding the change going into that 2012 season.

Loop will also get Super Bowl MVP btw. 5-5 FG including a GW as time expires. Low scoring battle. 22-20 Ravens.
