The ice hockey team beat ASU 8-4 this weekend. Good win for the boys. I'm sure it made the scum devil fans feel a little uneasy about their season and team this year.

Do you think the school ever makes the ice hockey program a varsity sport instead of just a club team?

Maybe, there was a good amount of people at the game. Would they still be able to sell beer at the games if it became a varsity sport?

Yeah I think beer sales would still be allowed because it's an off campus stadium. Not totally sure about that though. They will probably need to get a permit from the school to sell beer at a varsity sporting event but I don't see why the school would chose not to approve it.

The team plays ASU again tonight at 9pm in Phoenix.

Apparently ASU kicked our press people out of the media box. No apparent reason why. They definitely are salty about the beat down in Tucson.

Arizona won 6-4. Another victory over the scum devils and our team is 3-0.

Hockey victories over ASU are fairly rare. I remember talking to one of our goalies in 2014 and they only beat them once or twice his whole career.

So rejoice in these victories! The ASU hockey fans are shook!

The team has another game tonight. It's a "home" game being played up in the Phoenix metro (Gilbert). Not sure if I like the idea of having "home" games in Phoenix especially with the newly renovated TCC. I guess the reasoning is to attract Phoenix UofA alums, but not sure I like that idea considering way more fans would show up for a game at the TCC in Tucson. Also, these are divisional games as opposed to non-conference which makes it even more perplexing to play them away from the TCC.

Anyways, willl update once score goes final. The boys are 3-0 and ranked #16. Tonight they play 18th ranked Missiouri State. No word yet on the starting goalie but my guess is Anthony Ciurro. He had a good outing against ASU last week.
