many more articles about this out there....

I guess, how does it feel... the controversy sucks. Takes away from the performances of some great players and coaches, but even the fact this info is out there sucks IMHO.

Allegations, whether confirmed or not have a way of tarnishing otherwise good things.

Even Rich Rod's redemption was way too "after the damage was done".

It's all internet hype. They were three awful officials that worked more than three of KC's games; the article only wants to mention the bias.

Richeson blatantly committed PI at the end of a game. Shame on him for making contact on a pass that likely wouldn't win the game, even if he tackled the WR in the open field.

Houston just lost the game. They were awful that day. And Vegas snapping the ball when O'Connell wasn't ready was classic Raiders. They blew it.

Stats still prove that KC's opponents received drastically more favorable calls in the 4th quarter and OT. It isn't even close. Unfortunately, the internet trolls want to omit those stats because it would prove that nothing is "fixed".

These are just a couple of many articles pointing out what they point out.

Yahoo is not small by any means.

Let's just say, they aren't saying anything that a normal football fan doesn't know already.

The Yahoo story doesn't specifically reference any fake allegations about three calls. It also doesn't have "related spam videos", baiting readers into thinking that Andy Reid is retiring. That's the epitome of fake news.

I can understand why it is making you defensive. Unlike unsubstantiated allegations, there is definitely smoke and fire to this one, but we will find out over time if the stigma starts to balance itself out naturally after this wake up call to all the Refs

KansasCityCats

I'd love for officiating to be consistent.  Otherwise, the Chiefs would have made the Super Bowl, in lieu of getting a "hands to the face" when Tom Brady was clearly hit in the chest during an AFC Championship game.  Or KC could have won a Super Bowl if they didn't regularly receive mysterious PI calls and 3rd and long against Tampa.

Those are games that matter, with refs that should be scrutinized; not a November matchup against a joke of a Raiders team that looked like the Bad News Bears, when they gave away the game, en route to a 4-13 record.

Or the Eagles don't get hosed by a fake P.I. in the endzone

Or the refs do the correct thing and call the DL Offsides, which he clearly was before the Mahomes Era took off.

It goes both ways.

KansasCityCats

The DL offsides never occurs because the game is over when the Brady "hands to the face" is negated.

Yup, there will always be bad calls in favor of teams but the detrimental whistles have negatively affected them since the Mahomes Era.

The difference is that KC fans didn't blow up social media and cry to the NFL when it was blatantly wrong. They just trusted that their QB would bring them back to another AFC Championship in the following season.

The only thing I see KC fans do on Social Media is tell everyone to keep crying about X Y Z (when they win, which is often).. but now it is the opposite.

I hate that comment. Doesn't mean it really gets under my skin, but I don't like the essence of the comment. If people say it, they know they got away with something. So it is innately contradictory.

Also a side comment especially after Philly @ KC ----> I am done with the Tush Push. Everyone lines up offsides both ways. Everyone false starts/illegal acts to the face/head/neck, illegal formation. Literally OL and DLs are lining up over top of the ball or on the other side. Especially Eagles Center Jurgens I believe his name is. He moves the ball too. Every play can kill someone yet the league claims there has been zero injuries on the play. I will not believe their data. Everyone gets hurt on the play. Owners had their chance to ban it. They probably will next year. However, I won't be shocked if someone goes out on a stretcher or dies from the play this year. It is pure 3500lbs vs 3500lbs of Helmet to Helmet in a rugby scrum not designed for the power and size with helmets.

If I were a player I would refuse to go in for that play. They have those Bobble Head Helmets now and emphasis on PLAYER SAFETY yet allow this nonsense. I can't wait to see players sue the NFL for this
