Wanted to take the temperature following this incredibly awful play of late. I would personally be surprised if we made it to the second weekend.

It's all about matchups.  With a hot Caleb Love, we could easily make a Final Four.  With last night's version, we're out in the 2nd round.

If we lay off the 3, the swweet 16 is a strong likelihood and then it's about match ups.  If we keep chucking the long ball it's all about luck after the first round. This team has become tougher than any I remember and I think that gets us through the first round.  If we don't give away 10-15 possessions, a second round win is likely.  As a 4 or 5 the 3rd round gets very tough, but I think we can play with most if we don't give away possessions.

I'm going to be optimistic. This team can make the final four. It's been a long time since AZ has had a season with so many hard lessons learned, and as many quality wins in conference. That's going to pay big dividends this year. I'm also going to to bet that the recent lackluster performances by Bradley, Veesaar and Awaka are coming to an end. We have proven we can win without Love being the star, so we dont have to count on him to be amazing and he knows that.

I was hoping for a 3 seed, but probably  not now to many losses down the stretch, my hope is beat as an Kansas.

We need love to play his best in tournament, last year he struggled.

Hopefully  we get good matchups.

In Lloyd's first 3 years here, AZ has been ranked #2, #8 and #9 garnering a top 1 or 2 seed each of those years. This year we may head into the tourney unranked and a #5 seed. Does that mean the team will try harder, are they more battle tested? I really don't know. Seems like it's the same story every loss, teams who pack the paint against us, and dare us to make threes have a chance, and we get blasted by some dudes named Sam and Frank who can't miss.

I really like this whole team and want them to advance and I'll root for them every second, but I don't expect a deep run. Maybe they'll surprise me like the '11 squad did. That was a fun run. I would love nothing better than to see Caleb go out with a bang and drop 32 like DWill did on Duke! But I've learned to have my ever lovin Zona heart ripped out and stomped on.

Could we have some good luck this postseason, just a little bit? It's about time.

Winning the Big12 Tournament is the most important thing for this team right now.

It is the only thing this team should be expected to actually "Play For" that we can 100% control within our full power. All matchups are studied at this point. There should be no surprises other than pleasant surprises for this team.

Winning it comes with a Banner.

March Madness is all about individual stock these days for NIL.

I don't expect our team to suddenly have the chemistry needed to win games when their personal money is on the line.

However, when personal money is on the line, that is when you would think the players would try their hardest.

So logically speaking, the only question mark on this team is Tommy Lloyd.

Will Tommy be able to Coach this group to glory? That's the wild card.

I am safe in saying we make it to the round of 64!

I think we are going right home Round 1 or we are going to win no less than 5 games. 1 or the other. I don't see it going between for this group, but obviously the hardest rounds in the whole entire Tournament are the Round of 32 and the Elite 8. Everything else is not as difficult to manage.

We aren't losing another game until
the nonconference slate next season.
