I am writing here right now with about 4 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter to say that we are NOT out of this game. No matter how much the commentators and production crew is peppering us with the Almighty BYU program history, We. Are. Not. Out. Of. This. Game.

Play the full 60 minutes Noah Fifita.

I tried. Short analysis to come. This team is slowly not becoming worthy of a write up.

Just flat out bad. You really don't
even need to elaborate that much.

KansasCityCats

They didn't give up. They just didn't play well, which shouldn't discredit BYU.

My ability to analyze a football team is lacking, but it seems to me that Fifita is under pressure far too often and that creates a lack of opportunity for him (and hence, the offense) to excel. The last 5 games have all been like that.  Also, the penalties have been disruptive. Is that on the players or the coaches? I don't get some of coaching decisions.  You have, possibly, the best kicker in college football, take the ponts  the last 2 games they've failed on 4th down early in the game, when a fg would have changed how the game would have looked late. What advantage was the 2-pt try when down by 15.  Getting to down by 13 does you no good unless you feel you can score 3 times 2-7-3-3, 1-7-7 gets you the tie as does 0-8-7. I still like Brennans attitude and mental approach, but these decisions make no sense to me.

As an aside, I am enjoying the view of Fisch falling on his face.

KansasCityCats

Right on regarding every aspect, FL.

Does anybody know the Raymond Pulido situation?  He would be a huge difference maker, in terms of providing Fifita with time to throw. Outside of LT, the O-line often makes mistakes but hasn't been "awful".

Spot on FL.  I for one never saw this coming.  Noah going in reverse in a hurry

KansasCityCats

Fifta is the hardest work g kid in college football so he'll inevitably bounce back and dominate the Big-12. He just needs some protection.

I don't see him going in reverse so much as I see the O line not giving him a chance to succeed.  As happy as  am that he and McMillan came back, I feel a bit bad for them that they did.
