Yes, UofA must "WILL" a new HC.

If they think they can FILL the job with someone who can WILL us to keeping Noah and McMillan then they are fooling themselves.

Both options are trash. Sorry to say. If I were in charge I would actually just wait. We are going to end up a 1 win team again either way. Rather than commit to someone out of desperation, they might as well just wait and see who emerges from a gigantic carousel of failure around the College and Pro world.

This is pretty embarrassing all around. I blame the Ghouls. They have the money. They just didn't want to pay it. They have the NIL backing. They just didn't want to promise it.

Jedd will likely come into the Big10, underperform, piss off their fanbase, then laugh all the way to a golden retirement. The grifter had 1 good season maybe in his life. I think as many compliments as I gave him, the truth always was he was a slime ball. Go check the receipts on my posts. I appreciated this season, but before the switch from JDL to Noah, he was "Brother Jedd" for a reason. A Cult leader that thrived on getting people to drink the kool aid.

Now I'm mad about it obviously, but I think everyone else here is left crestfallen. You all truly believed in the man before me. This has to sting.

Now I have no idea why we are going to the Big12. UofA should back out. Start a bunch of ish on purpose. Make problems.

Whole situation just went down hill. We might as well have hung back with Oregon St and Washington St at this point. Total disaster? Nah probably not. Jedd had us drinking the kool aid.

We thought we were somebody. It is very cruel indeed.

I would use this as a case study in not getting attached to College Sports at all. The players don't care. The Coaches never cared.

Tough day for @WILD - Getting roasted all over Socials. I think putting yourself out there is brave. I do it all the time. I take on everyone anywhere anytime anyplace. You'll survive this @WILD - But whoever your source is/was shouldn't.

PS - I watched the video of the player meeting and every kid looked like they just lost their best friend. It's actually a form of abuse if you look at this clinically. Abandonment at it's finest. You could tell some kids already know they are going with Jedd. Probably was one of those things where Jedd secured every player he wanted before he signed those papers.

Those athletes deserved better - as in the ones who will be left behind in the dust.

AGAIN - I would not make a new hire until it is 100% locked in that Noah and McMillan are staying or going. I would ask them what it would take to stay and see if we can meet their demands. This is 2024. The Players have the power. I don't care at all about Coleman. RBs are a dime a dozen if you have an eye for them.

I repeat - I would make the offer to Noah and McMillan. Their buddies would follow suit. That is the only way to get revenge on Jedd. I would rather pay Noah and McMillan 5 Million combined just to make sure they don't go with Jedd than hand 5 Million over to a half ass Head Coach.

Get revenge the right way. Where it hurts Jedd the most.

Carroll would be the perfect replacement. Young, hungry and guided by family that has won at every level.

Plus, there's a good chance that they retain our young/talented team.

Fingers crossed.

Whoever it is, i hope they'll hire someone of character.  The last football coach we had like that was Dick Tomey.  Tomey, if you'll recall, had the best overall record in the pac during his tenure.  I don't recall him ever having players in trouble.  He had the best Wildcat season in history. His teams were  consistently ranked, and often in the top 10. He finished 3rd in country one year. Oh wait, that wasn't good enough for the boosters and some fans that chased him out. Well, maybe i'm wrong, maybe carpet bagging douche bags are the way to go.

Character is dead. This is 2024. This is "get paid for the least resume at the right timing".

Blame Nick Saban. He walked away randomly and opened the pandora's box if anything. I really am shocked that Bama even looked at DeBoer. He must be a big time "good ole boy". He always gave me bad vibes like that at least. Bama could have done way better and when they inevitably fire DeBoer there will be no remorse for destroying Arizona Football in the process. I'd try to schedule Bama and send some 2* kids at the knees of starters tbh.

Character is not dead, not even in 2024.  It's much less conspicuous, but it still exists and people with it expect others to have it.

As far as Saban goes, yeah I blame him for a lot, but not because he's a bad person.  I think pretty highly of Saban, he seems to me to have loyalty and integtriy.  The problem with him was his level of talent.  He was so good that more and more teams started spending more an more money and committing more and more infractions to chase him.  This response to Saban has largely (not solely) created the current atmosphere that is college atheletics.  I'm glad he's gone, and I think it's good for college athletics.  Unfortunately, Pandora's box has been opened and is unlikely to be shut.

DeBoer pledged that Saban can be as close to the program as he wants. I really don't believe that. DeBoer is going to box him out. Rub Bama folk the wrong way. Then they will kick him out (a rich man buyout I'm sure), but the house of cards will have tumbled.

KansasCityCats

Urban Meyer was a bigger liability to the integrity of college football, although Saban didn't help.

Saban was horrible in the NFL. Just thought I would add that. He ran back to college with his tail tucked. I think this is all just a product of bad timing all around. Jim Harbaugh probably maxed out what is possible at Michigan TBH. I wouldn't blame him for leaving (I am not updated on that situation). However, I really think Bama jumped the gun on DeBoer. Something is really fishy about it and it's not Brother Jedd Fisch. I just feel crestfallen that our program may have to die for this sin out of ALL programs possible.

It is empirical evidence that Arizona was/is the most dangerous team in the Nation outside of maybe Georgia/that level. We were on to something at the right place and right time coming into the Big12 with Texas and Oklahoma's exits.

I still can't even believe it's happening. Jedd got a deal of a lifetime perhaps, but he is a narrow minded tool. He won't last in Washington. He probably doesn't want to last either. I don't know his contract terms, but I would suspect his Buy Out is massive and he will do everything he can do get that Buy Out ASAP.

UW just swallowed a true poison pill. Let's take solace in knowing that.

Even if Noah and T-Mac follow... that's 1 season, maybe 2 at most --- And they will not win the Big10 nor even make the CFP. I would bet that.

Then Jedd will rug pull UW and steal their money leaving them with nothing too.
