Very productive. Tommy really just fumbled with his talent. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks of my take on that. Obviously Arizona is #1 currently. Doesn't mean Bal wasn't good enough or not a fit. Just means Tommy didn't respect him while he was here and could have helped make a difference in many games so Bal took his talents elsewhere.

I expect a big jump after this season unless he goes pro or abroad. Very happy for him. No one should be anything, but happy to see him succeeding.

It's great to see him having a breakout year. A fresh start with a change of scenery can work wonders. Very Barcello-y in that regard.

I think it was more about fit than anything. Bal had talent. Tommy knew that. Just not the fit Tommy needed. Glad to see him break out.

Adama-ALPHA Bal is his official name now*

He is listed as high as the 10-12th overall pick in mock drafts at the moment.

Very interesting how Tommy ran him out of town instead of letting him play last year.

KansasCityCats

I hope Bal continues to improve. He has plenty of athleticism and a smooth stroke. He still needs to work on his vision, defense, ballhandling and outside shot if he wants to play somewhere besides the NCAA r G-League next season.

I saw a one-off draft with his name listed but he wasn't on the Athletic, CBS, Yahoo, NBA (B/R) or other legit mock draft sites. Was he ranked on ESPN? I'm not a member so I couldn't tell.

Val s in a perfect situation at Santa Clara to showcase his talents. He played a weak OOC slate and would be the 5th best outside shooter on our team, in addition to turning the ball over as often as he dishes out assists. Best of luck to him and the Fighting Herbies.

So much hatred for Adama-Alpha Bal.

KansasCityCats

No hatred. I truly hope he succeeds. But he needs a lot of improvement before he becomes and NBA prospect.

And I still don't know where he's listed as a lottery pick, outside of the nbadraft.net "site".

KansasCityCats

Not sure if anybody watched Bal'a game against the Zags but it was pretty ugly.

Despite staying in the game, Santa Clara had no help from Adama. He stood on the perimeter, waiting for the ball and never moved on offense until somebody passed to him along the 3-point line.

He was "guarding" Watson, who made 10 of his first 11 shot attempts until Herbie was finally smart enough to switch Bal to an easier assignment.

Bal selfishly took closely defended jumpers and his outside shot looked eerily like the shot that caused him to continuously return to Lloyd's bench.

If anybody else were in the game, Gonzaga would have lost by double digits. "Alpha" is a huge liability.

Does the phrase "Spoke Too Soon" ring a bell?

Adama-ALPHA Bal led his team to victory tonight. Single handedly destroyed Gonzaga.

And hilariously the player you and some others CRIED over Nembhard completely blew the game for Gonzaga. Man you all couldn't cry harder about not getting Nembhard. I read those toxic cbox's back then. I saw the toxic cbox tonight.

He who laughs last laughs the hardest.

"HA HA HA" I guess. (shrugs at the incompetence of the post I'm replying to)
