A very good performance. Not overly shocking. We were not that big of underdogs. Now Jedd has to back this up with another win - hopefully Colorado. I don't care for the ASU game anymore as I don't view it as a rivalry. Arizona and Colorado would be a better rivalry going forward because It's Personal.

You don't know Arizona sports if you don't view AZ-ASU a rivalry.  The Territorial Cup trophy is the oldest in NCAA history dating to 1899.  It will ALWAYS be a rivalry

Aside from bragging rights, Arizona needs to continue its recent domination of in-state recruiting.  assu only landed six 3* recruits from the state of AZ over the past five seasons.  That's pretty sad, considering Herm's staff was still going after kids during COVID (despite the rules).

If we continue to beat them and become the only bowl-eligible school in the state, it'll secure dominance over the next few seasons.

Arizona State is no longer a recognizable academic institution. They are no longer a rival to University of Arizona in my eyes. Anyone who thinks it is, must be holding onto the past. This is 2023. You are showing far too much respect to a school that derives "student statistics" from slinging bogus online certificates.

As we move forward to the Big 12 I think the mentality should shift. Jedd and Tommy should really focus on creating new feuds. No better way to promote action right now than to get under Coach Prime's skin and no better way to assert dominance than to come in and slap the taste out of Kansas Basketball's mouths.

Having tunnel vision on little brother ASU is not the way. No one is picking ASU over UofA anymore, but they will look at Colorado, Utah and everyone else in the Big12 if we don't make a name for ourselves striking while the iron is hot with the program (much like Colorado is now).

We share a state with ASU, but we aren't wasting time fighting for scraps at the kids table anymore.

By next year, arizona could be a football power. Didn't see that coming . Heeke needs a raise, aside from hiring Sumlin
