West Virginia head basketball coach Bob Huggins is in some trouble with the law. According to Jeff Jenkins of MetroNews, Huggins was arrested Friday evening for a DUI in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jenkins reported the following details of his arrest:

"According to information from Pittsburgh police, Huggins was driving a black SUV at around 8:30 p.m. on Merchant Street off of Ridge Avenue when officers observed the vehicle in the middle of the road blocking traffic. Police said the driver's side door was open and the vehicle had a flat and shredded tire."

WOW!

I would guess Huggy will be fired after this.  He already lost $1M in salary this year after his Xavier fans are 'Catholic fags' comment.  I hope he can get some help

Mark Few got a DUI and nothing happened. I think aside from the Xavier comment, the only real difference I see is that 1 coach produces, the other has a system that is long in the tooth. But if you put Gonzaga in the Big 12 I think they wouldn't do that well either so it's all relative.

It's weird how sports media said it was a homophobic remark, when it's just as much or even more an anti-Catholic remark.

Some are calling him Bob Chuggins.

He didn't know what city he was in and couldn't explain how he got there. Garbage bags in the front and trunk full of empty beer cans, He failed the sobriety tests multiple times. And blew a .210 on the breathalyzer test. He was plastered.

The name is funny, what he did is not.

Hopefully, when he sobers up, he'll realize that he's lucky he didn't kill anybody. Getting help sucks, and it continues to suck for awhile, but he's gotta do it.

He adopted an IDGAF attitude. If you have seen some of his post-games last year when WVU struggled he basically was begging the University to fire him and also antagonizing his higher ups in the sense that no one can do it better than him.

He strikes me as dangerous to be honest. He was "closeted" for most of his career and now it seems like his demons are coming out in spades.

As stated above, luckily he didn't hurt anyone or himself. It's really not funny at all. I was pretty angry about Mark Few's DUI and how he was just allowed to skate off with basically no repercussions. Huggins situation is starting to make me think that institutional changes are necessary in so many sectors, but no one wants to be the first to upend the establishment.

This goes for a broad spectrum of modalities and organizations across the Nation.

Hard to change up the system if the system doesn't want to be changed.

Goodman is reporting Huggins has informed the team he wont be coaching and intends to resign.
