FB-Filling the last few slots

I know we are coming down to the last few open spots to fill on the roster. The staff has several offers out in the portal for the 23 class and we know of several visitors and offers out. We have added an interior DL and a Big DE recently for more depth and I believe we are done with those areas. I know we have two CBs visiting as one is on campus and the other is coming next soon for visits. it may be we take the first to commit. I know the staff offered the WR out of Colorado reently and would like to have him even though they like where we are at in the WR area. When there was four spots open the picture was an OL, a DL, a CB, a S, and a DE. We have filled the DL and DE, but the additionasl players hitting the portal have given us a n extra spot or two. Weerts being the latest one to transfer out.  It has been thought for some time that Jonathan Flowe would folow his brother to Arizona and maybe that is why the staff has not been focusing on the S position? Here are some players that are visiting or being targetted by the staff.

Montana would be a nice addition to any WR group and IF there were a need at the position I would think there would be a bigger push, but I believe the staff would take him either way.

Trequon is currently on campus but has many schools chasing him. It would be a huge pull to get him, but the staff is not waiting.

Jalil is also scheduled a visit very soon and it shows the push for another player to be added at the CB position. The staff definitely wants to be bigger and deeper at every positon and it seems we might get help with that soon.

Jonathan is believed to be coming in this summer, but IF so, why is there NO committment from him? Well he may be a silent commit, but again, why silent at this point? Love to have him although some believe we can do better.

There are still many quality players in the portal and things can change daily. Like with the JDL issue, a roster need can change quickly, but that is not saying he is not going to be with the team. I also do not believe we would chase another QB right now even IF he somehow left the team. Also sometiems a player of such quality comes availible and becomes to talented to turn down even though that hasn't been the case with our FB team very often.

Also Athlete Chance Harrison who is committed to BYU is planning a visit as well.

YES BKatt we would need another OL but really a solid grad transfer only because we have Pulido, Payne, and Gonzalez coming in the Fall.
Nofoagatoto's and Upshaw will only be here one year which is good because we need that veteran soild up front NOW on DL as well, but also Have Mailito, Fernandez coming in as well in the Fall. Several players like Norton while listed as seniors, have two years to play because of the covid year.

Dylan Wyatt

CB from Cal Poly has committed to Arizona.

IDK much more, walk-on or scholarship. He has one year remaining though. Likely a scholarship guy.
