BDU website update and changes

There are so many things happening behind the scenes of a site like BDU. This site along with most other has constant errors & repairs being made with html code, plugin errors, malicious attacks, and hosting issues to name a few(Boring stuff, I know). There are annual updates to the forum software, PHP files, Mods & more that eventually have to be done to keep the site running smoothly (Kind of like finally updating your phone).

It's come time to update and it's going to cause us to lose a few add-ons at BDU and the theme for the site will change as the current one is no longer supported. The Karma feature has also been removed in the new software update (Nothing I can do about it at this time).

The good news:
The shout box will stay exactly the same! BDU pays a subscription for the shout box and all it's features, so it will stay the same. A new gif search button will be added to forum posts (Just like the one in the shout box). All of this work is being done behind the scenes and the site itself will not go down or go offline for the change over.  BDU will have a new fresh look and will be super stable for years to come. Thank you all for your support and understanding as we do our best to keep BDU running strong!

Can someone explain this to me as if I am a 2nd grader please?
I have tried to get my Geek Squad on and learn more about computer specs and programming, but I am failing miserably.

No more karma? Oh whatever will the clique do to express their displeasure with reading the truth? Maybe they actually put themselves out there and post a well written sports opinion.

BDU 3.0 update is complete.

Special thanks goes out to @ojr who created the BDU main site banner above. We removed the basketball player to be more inclusive of football and all other UofA sports. Also, huge thanks to @Krash our website developing expert. He helped rebuild and maintain the site when it was literally about to crash at any moment (no pun intended)

Update added an icon in forum posts where you can search for gifs. Also added a quick reply feature in hopes more members can make a quick post reply. Added a like button up all posts and when someone likes your post you'll get a notification. You can @ members in posts and member group colors are now in the forum. There a few more things that you'll notice that I can't remember at the moment.

I'd like to thank each and everyone for your support. BDU is here to stay and if it ever went down we would rebuild from scratch.
