7'1" wingspan as a GUARD??  Good luck finding an open shot along the perimeter against this guy.  Love it!

Marvin Williams was a SG/SF at 6'8" and his Wingspan was 7'4" I believe, but was nothing to write home about once he hit the NBA and solely drafted on those measurables. Just food for thought.

This makes me sad to see Tommy fishing around more international players because he can't hack it recruiting Americans from a proficiency standpoint. Hope that changes, but it looks like he is hellbent on making Arizona fully International with maybe 1 American player per year.

I just skip the outdated, ancient and possibly xenophobic part about being sad to recruit an international player and focus a bit on the other also dumb point.

2022 recruits / transfers:

# of U.S. players: 4 (ramey, henderson, boswell, anderson)
# of internationals : 2 (henri, boro)

2023 recruits:

# of U.S. players: 1 (lewis)
# of internationals : 0

scheduled visits:

# of U.S. players: 3 (bryant, thomas, zoom)
# of internationals : 1 (darlan)

There is a reason why you are getting to -400 in record speed.

It's far from "sad". He's looking for the "best" players, regardless of origin.

I buy Honda because American cars are garbage...

Unfortunately only a racist or bigot would ever bring up anything that has to do with the subject as a whole on a sports forum. There is no disdain for international players. I would love to see Victor Wenebayama in Tucson if he were eligible however there is no possible chance Tommy would ever be able to land Victor even if he could.

It is however disdain for the fact Tommy Lloyd is getting out recruited for American players outright. Heavily out recruited. Even Arkansas was able to land 3 Top 10 HS recruits this year. It's becoming evident he is turning Arizona into a 3 and 4 star place. Good for him. This is what Arizona Basketball is now. I accept it. I also will comment on it much to your disdain.

Boswell this year is a reclassification as he will be using the program for his own interests (healthcare and rehab). Hopefully he stays and doesn't transfer out. Score 1 for Tommy.

Citing the transfer portal is comical and 100% irrelevant. Neither Henderson nor Ramey are top "recruits" just looking for a change of scenery. If you want to hang your hat on them being the backbones of Tommy Lloyd's American recruiting prowess than that is your choice. I have my standards, you seem to have yours. Whether my standards are higher than yours doesn't matter to me. Whether my standards are better than yours is not even in question. You are entitled to believe these players are equal to Top 10 players in the nation. I won't stop you.

Dylan Anderson was recruited originally under the old regime way back when so I automatically discard that tidbit too.

So before you get all high and mighty, take a step back and fully understand that this is a sports forum and anything you have to say that doesn't involve sports is not welcomed in a discussion with me.

International U is completely fine. Not sure how long we can hold up per my standards of Conference Titles and Conference Tournament Titles with this model, but we will find out.

Did you see what happened when Arizona was a 5-star recruiting machine under Miller?

Selfishness...and ZERO Final Four appearances, despite having a plethora of NBA talent.

3-4 star talent is what a GOOD coach needs to win because players want to win. Period.

Kansas- why waste your time with this troll?  He is about the most jaded, condescending, troglodyte on this forum. Ignore  him and he will eventually go away. He says such ludicrous things,  for the sole purpose of engaging others. Let the troll did lonely and sad.

This kid darlan looks really talented  he looks like a solid shooter from 3  an has good size an length, I hope we get him.

It gives us another  target  besides cody Williams  in the 2023 class  hopefully  he lands darlan an cody.

This is Tommy's Team now. Let's get that straight. The bed has been made. I sincerely want to see what he can do once all of Miller's players are gone. He has a chance to repeat the success of last season with the remainder of Miller's players leading the way, but soon after it will be all what Tommy creates for himself.

But... Yes I noticed under Miller... winning the Pac12 and the Pac12 Tournament a significant amount of times. Being a contender in one way or another every season. Being a 1 and 2 seed in the big dance, getting many players to the NBA, having 3 Elite 8 runs and a couple Sweet 16s i believe. Losing those Elite 8 games by a bucket or two, not getting blown out in the biggest spotlights, losing a Sweet 16 by a buzzer beater literally. And just like Kentucky, Michigan St, Duke, Virginia, etc a couple first round exits to some really good teams that went on to prove themselves as such whereas those other blue-chips lost to 14-16 seeds in the big dance during Miller's tenure. I guess the difference is anything their coaches did wrong got swept away or paid to go away or their base, admins, and boosters all looked the other way in the name of consistency. Arizona has to be the trendsetter in the worst time to transition. After all the horrific allegations, right now Miller would be having a field day with the NIL. It won't be long for him to get back to that level with these new rules.
