On Barcelona
AB: The detail in the buildings and the amount of time they put into their architecture is really impressive. The design you see in every building is amazing. Things are different here in Spain, but I like being able to experience their culture. Everything that we have seen so far out here is such an experience.

On Visiting Spain
AB: I really like the food in Spain. The choices for breakfast are almost overwhelming. Our first breakfast in Spain, it probably took me ten minutes just to decide what I wanted. My mind pretty much got blown with the freshly squeezed orange juice, which came in this machine that was not like anything I had ever seen before.

On Visiting 1992 Olympic Sites
AB: Walking around and seeing the Olympic sites was incredible. The amount of history in that area was really cool to see, especially being able to see where the Dream Team played. I am a huge Jordan fan, so it meant a lot to me. It was one of those "once in a lifetime experiences".

On First Exhibition as a Wildcat
AB: Being able to put that Arizona uniform on for a game for the first time was unbelievable. I hadn't played in a game in like five months, or in a college game yet, so when I got out there it felt a little different at first. However, once the game got going it all came to me. We were all out there moving, the ball was moving and our energy was great. It was definitely a memorable event for me. I thought you could really tell that our team is a group of close guys that enjoy playing with one another out there.

On Arizona Fans in Spain
AB: Having fans at our games in Spain kind of shocked me at first, but then you realize just how great Arizona fans are. To have a group of passionate fans, all the way out in Spain, cheering you on is an amazing feeling.

On Spanish Foreign Tour
AB: I've been looking forward to this trip in part because of my last name. Barcello and Barcelona have a bit of a connection in spelling and how you say them. I think it's cool for me to be out of the United States for the first time and to see my name around town. I learned that there is a company around town called "Barcelo", which is how my family used to spell the name way back when. I just think it's really cool to see a building with the name "Barcelo" on it around town. The guys are making jokes when we drive by those buildings, saying "Look, Alex runs Barcelona!" It's kind of a running joke, and I just say, "Yeah, my family used to run the city.

The trip has been a big part of me getting to know my teammates. When you spend so much time around one another, you really get to know them. It's a lot of bonding for us. Especially for us freshmen because we are coming into this program together. The veteran guys in the program really welcome us and show us the way from their experience. They have always welcomed us with open arms and let us know that they have our backs.

On Favorite Photo of Trip
AB: I would say that my favorite photo that I have taken on this trip was during our morning trip to the National Museum of Catalunya in Barcelona. Just being able to see the whole view of Barcelona, it was amazing to see all of the beautiful buildings of Barcelona from one spot.
