Can you imagine how Book and Miller feel seeing these kids with the NIL deals. Book could've had someone hook a kid up and with a job promoting a business and gotten him the money that way. Kids have been getting paid for years. Now it's being praised when kids make money on the side. Unbelievable!

Now Book's life was traumatically ruined because he was pocketing minimal money so he family could make ends meet.

I hope the IARP is using this (and other NIL deals) as a resource for Arizona's future "violations".

BTW, I still think that the idea of Tyty's Porsche is absurd.  Never again will a big recruit sign an LOI with a mid-major....or a high-major that doesn't have the economic resources to "take care" of him/her.  College basketball is about to crash and burn.

Aokay

Is this what's known as Pandora's Box?

Welcome to the 21st Century Twilight Zone.

So one day paying players off is a sin -- the next day it's a virtue -- How fucked up is that! The NCAA =  mindless jackasses operating at their very worst. I hope this "organization" gets sued into oblivion and dies a pain-filled death. I wouldn't be pissed if the Federal Bureau of Incompetents joined them.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...
"Make ends meet?"  He was making approximately 250K in Tucson, Arizona...
Get out of here with that nonsense.

I was under the impression that he was taking care of family with the additional funds.  Not only his true (blood) family...but former AAU/college players that were struggling during his coaching years.  Book was a giving person that would do anything for the people that were involved in his life.  Great guy that got screwed by the system.
