[hide login=1]I have multiple sources telling me that the crystal ball predictions for TyTy to Kentucky are meaningless. Arizona still has as much of a chance as Kentucky to land Washington. Even Kansas has a small shot at still landing him. I know this may sound crazy with all the crystal ball predictions, but this is what I'm hearing. [/hide]
And then there's this
https://twitter.com/TeeWash03/status/1390449488045780994
[hide login=1]There's a rumor that TyTy signed an NLI with Kentucky, which is why all the crystal ball picks came in. Hearing that is totally false. Interesting stuff. [/hide]
[hide login=1]TyTy liked this tweet a bit ago. Looks like Kansas is out.

[hide login=1]TyTy has received NLI's from 3 schools, Kentucky was not 1 of those schools. 2 of those schools did not make his final cut and the 3rd was Kansas. [/hide]
This is embarrassing

[hide login=1]Are TyTy and his family playing 4D chess by leaking that he is going to Kentucky only to pick Arizona in the end. I don't know, but it makes you wonder and we won't find out until the end. [/hide]
It's all (https://media.tenor.com/images/0062600b1ab84831597806ccbc193105/tenor.gif)
I hope he is happy with his decision. And successful where ever he goes.
Good luck with any choice. PG is a tough position.
Wow I hope your right with the last thing you said. , WILD
Thanks for the info.
I sure hope we have a shot.
This recruitment has the feel of the Josh Jackson recruitment.
ON ARIZONA
"Coach [Tommy] Lloyd is new, but hes shown me film from when he was at Gonzaga and how he wants to use me in that offense. He likes to let his offense flow -- a lot like a European offense. Ive built a good relationship with him. I have a great relationship with [Jack Murphy] and [Jason Terry]. Its close to home, too. Its only an hour and 40 minutes away, so thats good."

Is Tee Washington trying to fool us or cover the fact that his kid is going to the wrong wildcat school? I still hope there is a chance.

Tee Wash, Gaslighting much?
I am still hoping Arizona can pull this off but in reality , I will be surprised if he announces any other school than Kentucky on the 15th.
Some of these prospects do not want their decision to be leaked to the public.
As much as most sports media will ruin a prospect's decision, if this is true, I have no problem with the prospect toying with the media to keep their decision private.
Wherever TW lands, he is going to be a gem, but I do hope it is going to be Arizona fwiw..

Latest Interview with TyTy on his decision. This interview is from a Kentucky site and majority of questions involve Kentucky. It's interesting that TyTy says he's down to Kentucky, Arizona, Kansas, and LSU. The order of the schools does mean something.
TyTy on Arizona
Arizona, with their whole coaching staff change, ever since Coach Lloyd joined the staff, his first week he was FaceTiming me like three times a day. He was making sure I was good, just checking up on me, showing that he really cares and that he wants and needs me there.
I expect him to go to Kentucky.
I think if ty ty chooses anyone else other than Kentucky on Saturday it will be a shock.
[hide login=1]It seems the Washington family are trying to create a smoke screen on who TyTy will commit too. Unless something drastic changes between now and the 15th, TyTy will be committing to Kentucky. TyTy has told a couple of his friends his choice and they've let it slip. There is a slim chance they're trying to pull a fast one and pick Arizona, but I wouldn't bet on it. We pretty much lost TyTy the day Hickman decommitted. Either way, Arizona will be fine and it's impressive to think Lloyd was close to land Washington in such a short time as head coach. [/hide]
So over this recruitment. Freaking clown show. Best of luck to him and I'm SO GLAD that kids psychotic narcissistic father will have nothing to do with UofA. What a clown.
If that is what the family and TyTy want- fine. We want someone who wants to be a U of A CAT! Time to move on11
Well, it seemed like all signs pointed to Arizona, but Kentucky is going to give TW a better chance to get to the NBA so I understand it.
Best case scenario, Arizona turns into a West version of a Baylor/Florida State/Virginia/Villanova.
Damm Hickman really screwed us.
Lloyd should have had terry recruit Hickman they were already familiar with each other.
To bad lloyd needs to find us another pg.
He probably needs to find a euro or a transfer. Unless someone else decommits from another school.
I hate whenever we are battling Kentucky or duke for a player.
If Washington would have committed here he would have been a star an had very little competition for minutes .
I think over at Kentucky he will have the ball less he may regret not coming to Tucson, they have other guards an are still recruiting other guards.
Where lloyd was recruiting just him.
Either way good luck to ty ty.
This still isn't over. I don't like the idea of any parent using their kid as a puppet during recruitment, but TyTy could obviously help if he decides to commit.
I still agree that I'm over the recruitment. If we weren't shorthanded at the PG position, I'd wish that he went to UK. Unfortunately, we need a ballhandler.

I mean we currently have one good one (Kriisa), and in a worse case scenario, I can see a situation where Terry/Mathurin is going to be our backup ball-handlers.
We still have an entire summer for things to shake itself out though, so I know CTL will be able to find 2-3 remaining pieces to be able to field a respectable roster.
I personally am expecting a 2009 type of season from Arizona where CTL pulls a bunch of pieces together to get enough bodies.
Another mid-tier PAC-12 season, we miss the tournament and allow CTL an entire calendar year to restock/rebuild the program to be respectable/competitive again.
You expect only a barely over .500 season this year mvpreed? AZ went 16-15 in '09-10. And Lloyd has been left with more talent than miller was left with. Kerr, Benn and Zu are a definite upgrade over Foggy, Lavender, and Jacobsen.
Also, I just listened to Lloyd being interviewed on Rothstein's podcast and he has higher expectations for this team than that. He stated that he likes this foundation and the pieces are all there to win a lot of games and he expects them to be an ncaa tournament team.
Anyway, I was just glad to hear him say that and am hoping he's right.
With another ballhandler, I think we have enough pieces to be dangerous and finish Top-4 in a competitive PAC-12.
With Kriisa as the only option, it will be similar to the Nic Wise season where Judkins (Mathurin) and Budinger (Terry) were the only other options to bring the ball up the court.
It was scary but we got by. I assume Lloyd has something else up his sleeve if TyTy ends up at UK/KU
That's good to hear , lloyd thinks we could be a tournament team.
I will have to hear this podcast.
If only we could land ty ty I think this would be a tournament team.
It still may be but lloyd needs to bring in another pg. I like kerr but not sure on him playing pg. Full time I like him better at the 2 position and backup mins at pg.
Hopefully lloyd can find a euro or a transfer.
Kerr and Pelle are the PGs at this point in time with Dalen Terry being the 3rd option. Mathurin and Nowell are other guards that could potentially handle the ball. And it's very likely we'll land another primary ball handler via transfer portal I'd assume. Lloyd definitely has a lot of pieces to work with

Don't get your hopes up...
I would love ty ty to fall in our laps I just think he still goes to Kentucky maybe Kentucky is selling them on playing together. Hopefully wheeler commits in the next day or two before ty ty.
Savhir Wheeler? He is like a little person around 5' 8".
Go Kentucky! I hope they get him.
I would love to see wheeler commit before ty ty just see if that changes ty ty
Mind on Kentucky .
Atleast to see if we have a have a chance
The thing is if ty ty wants a shot to shine he should come to Arizona.
Kentucky over recruits at pg. Alot of the time he will have the ball in his hands less there.

I am sure Calipari is going to tell both Wheeler/Washington that both would be able to come in and have the ball in their hands.
That normally is not the case with Calipari as he likes to have one lead guard and let him play as much as he can handle as long as he plays the way Calipari wants him to.
With Askew transferring to Texas, there are no real PGs on the roster for 2021, and I believe that is going to be the biggest selling point for Calipari in telling both they will both exclusively play PG and when on the floor, they would be able to play off of one another.
