I like Hale, Checketts, Yeskie and Stankiewicz (in that order).

Bringing back Hale would be amazing. He would stick around forever, he has a professional reputation and the alumni love him.

Checketts has the best young blood. UCSB's deep postseason runs were not flukes. Great leader that would be able to recruit.

I like the options. Even if it has little prospects, I'd still like them to at least court Terry Francona on the opportunity. He's making $900K currently and we can find a way to at least match that. He clearly lives here in the offseason already. Trying to win him over on Tucson year round would be my #1 priority.

Francona is seriously making $900k???  That would be nuts if true...but would give us a legit shot to land him with the additional sponsorships and incentives that come with the Arizona job.

Hard to know the truth here.  A casual search shows one site stating $900K for 2020, but another showing him as the highest paid manager in the majors for 2021 at $4.2M.

Offer a winless coach the least money humanly possible. Heeke is good with the winless coach thing but he tends to throw undeserved money at them. I'm talking a parking pass, an egress gift card and 20k a year. No reason to blow money on a losing sport of yesteryear.

Baseball is absolutely dying in North America...but Arizona has a great history with the sport and the fans have embraced the move to Hi Corbett by filling the stands.

Heeke needs to find a coach that wants to be in Tucson for the long haul.  I think Hale or Checketts are the best options.
