I'm hearing that Koa's parent are split on his decision to stay in the draft. One parent & his agent want him to go to the NBA. The other parent wants him to stay at Arizona to potentially go top 10 in next years draft.

Koa could come back to UofA and make more money than he would his 1st NBA season. He could stay in the draft & go to a good NBA team and play little minutes.

What should Koa do? 🤔

I bet he stays in draft until we hear different, but in the end he has to do what's best for him, would love to see him back at arizona  for year 2, he  could really improve  his game.

Fans obviously "want" him to return because Arizona immediately becomes significantly more dangerous with Koa on the roster.

It's truly a tough decision because he's still a projected first round pick. Koa would make more money in Tucson this season but if he succeeds in the league, he'll get a second contract sooner, which is a lucrative move.

The risk of injury and/or a lack of progress from his three point shot is a possibility, so going pro now is the "safe" bet.

Regardless, his family is smart and they care for his well-being. They'll make the best possible choice.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting in anticipation...

I know this guy who knows this other guy
who hasn't heard any Koa Peat rumors yet.

I doubt he comes back. This situation has the feel of Koa betting on himself. What I am curious about is who the staff gets in here to replace him this late in the game.

The Draft Slot Payscale is a real thing. And next season with the Anti-Tanking Rules he can still end up on a Pretty Good team and with a huge contract.

He is going to the NBA without a biblical miracle, but he should examine Zeke Nnaji and how he never plays. Although when he does that examination he will see how much money Zeke made without having to do anything too. Koa Peat's "combine" is never going to match his In-Game impact.

1. NIL will provide Insurance for Injury so that is a non-factor

2. If he can't shoot the ball now, he won't shoot it worse next year. He may just be what he is.

3. 2027 Draft is one of the Weakest since the Anthony Bennett draft of 2013. Koa will get picked by a decent team and in the Top 1-8 area if he demonstrates Equal level to last year.

4. The Anti Tanking Rules are going to ensure a player like Koa goes to a team where he will play and make a difference.

5. It still will be a Biblical Miracle if he chooses to return. Tommy has done all he can to put Jobbers in place that don't belong in D1 let alone Power Conference level teams so as to keep his spot for him. That is all he can really do.

The lower koa gets selected in the draft, the better chance he goes to a better team right? Also he will get more time to improve his game in the pros instead of in college. I don't think he cares about the money as much as getting to the nba unscathed. He already had a lingering injury in college. I think he's gone, but if he returns he will cement his legacy at Arizona and shed that final four beatdown that has to be killing him still.

I think Koa should do what Koa wants to do.
If he does not care about his draft spot?
Roll the dice, stay in the draft and see where you go.
If this is about draft position and security?
Come back to Arizona, be the #1 option, average 17/7 or so, be an All-American and secure a lottery spot.
