Williams averaged less than half a made 3 per game in the American league. If you think he'll average more than that in the big12 I think you may be deeply confused.

I don't get the hype.

There is no hype. It is a false narrative. Arizona is not that thirsty nor desperate.

Quote from: |ᴘ|ʀ|ʏ|ᴍ|ᴇ| on May 03, 2026, 10:14:30 PMThe shooting numbers are a bit deceiving. He will be an actual 3 Pt threat with increased volume in a less boring system. He could very well be a Henri type Stretch 4 at Arizona.

I would assume he's looking to replace KP, not back up KP, so what KP chooses to do looms large. That being said, a 2nd year of KP is the best case scenario. Williams would be a very good next best scenario.

No he won't as Tommy doesn't allow anyone over 6'7" to take 3pt shots nor outside jumpers. Quick yank to the bench.

You said yourself he's probably not 6'10. As long as we list him at 6'6, he should be good to let it rip!

Yeah, that will make Tommy change everything he stands for lol

I am expecting 2 more Adds. 2 Internationals. Ogres. Not frail stick bugs.

Or maybe someone reclassifies as a 22 year old still sitting around High School as a Junior because that is the new thing to do.

Until Peat announces his return, I am going to assume that he is not returning to Arizona.
There is a glaring hole at PF, and there does not need to be an All-American walking in to fill that spot.
Krivas is going to be the man inside, and there just needs to be a solid complimentary piece next to him.
I am not mad if Williams is that guy.
I am also happy that Lloyd is bringing in someone that is at least 6'10 with shoes on.
I would still like for him to find another 6'10 big from Europe/Asia.

I'm sayin..smh..We're coming off a Final 4 run, you'd think Tommy would be going after studs! Disappointing 😞  Incoming Trey Townsend

I truly blame the NBA draft process, in addition to the transfer portal.

Bringing in a top-tier PF shuts the door on Koa Peat's return, which is unlikely...but not impossible.  If Koa received negative feedback from the league (and was asked to work on his outside jumper), he would have to transfer out of Arizona, assuming we already received a commitment from a $2,000,000 Murauskas.

Late May is a ridiculously late deadline to declare.  I'm sure the staff has a plan in place for a backup center and starting PF, assuming Peat is headed to the league.

Williams will have NO affect on Peat. In fact they are recruiting Williams to replace Awaka. Taking that third big role where he can place the 4 and 5. He would get a lot of playing time.

Agreed.  I was justifying the staff's intentions to not pursue a Top-25 transfer, like Graves, Punch or Freeman.  Williams would be a solid addition to the team, especially if he hung around for more than one season.
