JJ Mandaquit has committed to AZ for the 2026/27 season.

According to Evan Miya, JJ Mandaquit's offensive rating would have been #9 on Arizona's most recent roster between Evan Nelson and Sidi Gueye.

He's a distributor, not a scorer.

Evan Miya's Bayesian Performance Rating (BPR) model for offensive rating in college basketball does include assists and turn over ratio, not just scoring numbers.

I don't understand anything you
just said, but I'll take your word for it.

Tommy really capitalized on the U19 Team.

This is a very underrated Commit.

We have needed a real PG for a long time. Not a full Combo Guard.

Bradley did his Job and earned his flowers.

The New Era is here.

If people follow my general commentary, they would probably not expect me to be this accepting of JJ (and Dixon too).

But I do think Tommy is getting "his type of guys".

The only question is can he keep them?

Bradley stayed... that was critical.

We need these guys to stay.

Having two PGs with different abilities adds to our overall ability to adjust to the situations we will find ourselves in. I would say we may have PG 1a and PG 1b rather than a bench guy. Then we also have Holt who can also handle the ball if needed. CTL is a brilliant coach.

Nothing against jj, but I was hoping for an elite starting pg. My preference was zoom there, i like dixon but liked him better as a 6 man.

TJ was no 5 star transfer, but one hell of a PG here.

I believe some of the top tier free agents might not be so willing to "fit in" to the scheme of the program because of the status/pricetag they come in with.

I would rather Lloyd go for fit over quality.
Dixon/Mandaquit will be more impactful than whomever you deemed the top free agent PG to be.

You may be right mvpreed2
After having jaden Bradley here for 3 years, I wish we had found a really good replacement, I just fill there will be drop off at pg. Next year

I hope i am wrong, I will say it seemed dixon made unc was better with dixon starting.

We will miss jadan Bradley ability to get to the basket, freethrow line.
