Hurley is likely happy to return 1.7% of his production. None of last year's players were worth retaining.

And we are happy Hurley is still there

Sort of misleading because we have returning players who aren't proven to be able to match the value to the system without being role players, but we will see who has learned or gotten better.

I personally think it's beneficial to return almost 40% of your production while simultaneously bringing in the #3 recruiting class.  Nice mix of experience/talent, especially considering the absurd landscape of today's transfer portal.

I mean when you look at the roster, the only "star" from last season was Love.
The rest of them were are role players, and Bryant had the ability to be a star, but he is off to the NBA.

Awaka
Bradley
Dell'Orso

Those are the only returners from last season, the amount of talent that left?

Bryant
Lewis
Love
Martinez
Stephen
Townsend
Veesaar

Let's see how well Lloyd and this staff is able to retain the talent from this 2025-26 roster that will NOT be headed to the NBA after the season.

This is undervaluing Henri specifically and the synergistic force that Henri was with a guy like Carter. Tommy didn't coach that. It was found within each other to up their levels.

Townsend was simply not a fit for the tempo Tommy wanted to play.

KJ Lewis had a boo boo, but clearly had a problem with Tommy too.

Returning 3 guys whom which 2 are benchers who "had to answer the call to action" while 1 is starting level just means that Tommy has no control at the moment. He has no choice, but to rely on all of the incoming class to showcase themselves. I don't believe there will be much Coaching this season. More "watching" and "hoping".

I am fine with that. Let Bradley and Krivas work a pick and roll game. Let Burries and Peat do whatever the damn well please. Then figure out if Aristode is actually good or if he is the weak link.

Losing Henri is what will stop this team from getting to the top if I had to say 1 comment.

But I always say more than 1 comment. I hope Sidi or Mamut are ready to contribute because if Bryce is not getting 25 minutes, this team is in trouble.

Shoot, if I were Bryce I would challenge Tony Delly to a game of 21 for 21 minutes. That would be fair.

I would pay good money to watch that.
I would also pay bad money to watch that.

I agree that losing Henri is a big deal.  Krivas will fill a majority of his void but doesn't have the athleticism to guard the perimeter, which makes us slightly vulnerable to stretch 4/5's.

Of the players we LOST, the only true contributors were Love, Veesaar and Bryant.  The others were OK but not as solid as the three that we're keeping.

Throw in the talented freshmen and Arizona will be great...assuming our freshman frontcourt bench can help with spotty minutes.
