Koa will be the best player on the court at times this upcoming season. FYI, Wabbington recently got an offer from Arizona and he's said Zona is his Dream school.

Was that AJ he dunked on?
Gonna be must-see TV in the Big XII.
Appointment viewing all year.

Love the intensity and effort.  It would also be killer to get Wabbington, as a replacement for a OND Peat OR side-by-side, which would provide some nastiness in Arizona's young frontcourt.

Can't wait until basketball season...

The poster was nice.
I do believe that was the #1 player in the class in AJ Dybantsa too.
I just hope that Peat comes to Arizona with that same level of intensity.
I will preface by saying I never reach my full potential, and was able to turn it on/off on the floor.
Once I stepped in, it was always "go hard or go home".

I do not like when I see some of these 5* prospects step on the floor in college and coast through it because the plan on entering the NBA Draft in about 4-5 months and are here for a brief vacation.
I hope none of the freshmen that play this season come in with that mindset.

Both players, albeit competitive and show promising fire or spirit to their personal games, played a poor game against each other from the video I watched.

Settling for mid range jumpers over each other is not the way. Many instances where they took the easy route and shortcuts instead of turning to try to back each other down.

The score was 8-2 with 2:49 left in the 1st Quarter. No it wasn't a defensive struggle. It was BAD Basketball with everyone trying to "showboat". If this is what HS Basketball looks like at the high levels then it is no surprise why so many Top Prospects come in and are nothing to write home about.

I would grade Koa a D- and Wabbington a B+ for that game highlight. Koa is clearly the bigger young man and he didn't use his strengths properly. Wabbington may be larger and taller, but he settles for jumpers too much, however I respect his Defensive energy. That is something I would want in Tucson. He also knows how to play with his limited athleticism which means once someone cares to get him in a gym and nutrition program, he has the frame to transform into a Monster very quickly.

Tommy Lloyd better learn how to manage egos better because that was shameful on both's behalf.

KansasCityCats

Both kids have defensive intensity, which is rare for top-tier prospects.  That's exactly what Arizona should want at their program because producing offense is not an issue under this staff.

D-Wabb is basically Braxton Meah's little brother who can actually shoot. Koa was clearly taking it easy and trying (maybe too much at times) to maintain a team oriented game with his teammates.

Both looked good. What stood out to me is how unimpressive Bruce Branch looked in that tape. He's a 5 Star somehow managing to look mid af. He's got massive shoes to fill now that he's the big man on campus expected to be the next Perry superstar.
BDU hopes he can live up to that.

That's a good take. Overall, Koa Peat is going to be a tough act to follow. There are levels to this. Koa could suit up for any NBA team in October if the rules allowed for it. Not all 5 stars can. In that sense, Koa should be respected, but he does need to live up to his hype and commitment. The game may have not been high level, but there is no excuse for Koa to take it easy. Wabbington took the game seriously and you could see it in his eyes. I like his determination to defend Koa even if Koa was just treating it like Light Work. He should come to Tucson.
