Dwayne Aristode 5🌟 2025 SF Has Committed To Arizona!

Top international basketball prospect Dwayne Aristode, a top-20 recruit in the 2025 high school class, told ESPN he has committed to Arizona. He picked UofA over Duke, Michigan State, USC & more.

"The winning culture Tommy Lloyd has built at Arizona is remarkable," Aristode said Sunday. "They play fast and have the right balance between structure and giving players freedom."

Aristode picked the Wildcats over a list of other finalists that included Duke, USC, Michigan State and the NBL Next Stars program.

The 6-foot-8 wing from the Netherlands is considered one of Europe's most promising young prospects, having already made his senior national team debut as a 17-year-old this summer, with strong performances against Serbia and Belgium.

"Representing my country was a dream come true," Aristode said. "The pace and physicality were very different. I needed that experience playing against a three-time MVP in Nikola Jokic to see where my game is and where I want to go personally. I want to help the Netherlands become one of the best teams in the world in the future."

Amazing pickup. A balanced level of talent continues to commit to Lloyd's staff. Arizona is building towards the future and Aristode will definitely play a big role!

You mean to tell me we got a 6'8 SF that will actually play SF instead of PF? What a concept!

Welcome to the family that is Arizona Dwayne!
We are all happy to have you on board.

Now that is out the way, how in the **** is Lloyd able to keep these recruitments so quiet?
This is the second year in a row that I only heard of the prospect days before he committed.

Sanon was the same way last season.
I read about him online.
I heard there was mutual interest.
He was committed less than a week later.
Good job Coach!

I assume that it's easy to keep the international recruiting process under the radar because the media and/or fans don't have AAU tournaments to report which coaches are watching specific players.

The Arizona staff(s) have definitely been winning the overseas recruiting battles over the past 6 seasons.

Really excited about aristode,
What a pickup. Athletic wing he has great size for wing, can shoot the ball an I think he is underrated.

It seems he was hardly even mentioned  by Jason scheer, this whole year, despite him visiting in january.

Now hopefully  we get peat, burries won't be easy.

This is Dwayne's second year in the states he plays for Brewster Academy and also played AAU ball here in the states

Oh dang. Thanks for clarifying. Year, Brewster has a lot of exposure so it's pretty impressive that our staff was under the radar until the commitment!

Cactus🌵Cat

You can always count on Scheer to have the inside scoop!
