Either hold down Filipowski (put him in foul trouble with Ballo, Krivas, Keshad)
OR
Let Filipowski cook and shut everyone else down.

Game within the Game. Boswell has a task vs Proctor.

I think Boswell vs McCain would be a good matchup because of familiarity. Pelle vs Proctor. Love vs Roach. Idk though. We'll see what Tom has in mind.

As far as the two bigs go, I think I would put Ballo on Filipowski and just stress staying in front and staying straight up - it doesn't need to be perfect. With Keshad on Young, Keshad should have opportunities here and there to sag off and spike some emphatic blocks from the weak side.

I really hope Love can get to the line early and in volume. That could spark a solid rhythm and maybe even a signature statement game for him in his last stop at Cameron.

Duke has a lot of "bigs" and it is flying under the radar.

I view this matchup mostly as a battle of basketball minds. If Coach K is helping Scheyer in the shadows with strategy then it's going to be tough.

If it's just Scheyer vs Tommy straight up then I want to believe Tommy can out coach him and all those 1 on 1 matchups you described are going to be highly variable.

We have all the tools. That's the motto for me this season.

So we should naturally go all Blue and mindfuck the Cameron Crazies?

Red / White is our colors anyway

Footnote: I wish McKale would have a Crazies setup for the student section. That's always been the dream.

Scheyer's game plan has been leaked:
1. Drive to the hoop
2. Pretend to get fouled
3. Our buddies will blow the whistle
4. Repeat Steps 1-3

We need Ballo and Krivas to force Filiposwki to settle with the outside jumper. He can make them but I'd rather not put him on the line and give up east interior baskets.

They don't have anybody else that can compete with our frontcourt depth.

Love needs to manage the game but not take irresponsible 3's because this game is emotional for him.

As long as Dook doesn't get ridiculously hot from 3, we should handle them on the road. We have the depth...

This is a trap game for Duke and I believe this will showcase the reemergence of Arizona basketball  on a national stage. Duke fans have no idea how good we really are. I can't wait to see this battle of the Titans!
Not sure I understand why this would be a trap game for Duke? The definition of a trap game is looking past a lesser opponent for a highly ranked opponent the following game. This has none of the components of a trap game imo.

The teams are almost a mirror image of one another in size and skill. Both have a good big man with depth and talent on the perimeter. The difference/advantage is Filipowski can stretch the floor for Duke. Ballo probably can push Filipowski around down low if he's aggressive. Ballo does struggle with big/tall centers though, so we'll see if Dukes other center, Mitchell, plays.
