There's still a slim chance Tubelis withdrawals & comes back to Arizona

Tubelis will go through the draft process and get an idea as to where he'll be drafted. If he finds there's a chance he won't be drafted then there's a slim chance he'll return to UofA. Another factor is his little brother who would get to be on the team another year if ZU comes back. So, we're saying there's a chance (Jim Carey Voice)

With the way Lloyd is trying to recruit versatile F, I do not believe he wants Tubelis to come back.
Obviously, not all of them are going to come to Arizona, but Ike/Kaluma/Nkamhoua and Williams being targeted?
In my opinion, Lloyd has a lot of work to do this off-season after losing four starters (Kriisa/Ramey/Henderson & Tubelis) and a big piece of the future (Bal) from this team.

Boswell is going to replace Kriisa, and Larsson is going to step back into the lineup Henderson.
There are no realistic options right now that are going to replace Ramey and Tubelis.
There is a lot of time to figure it out, but those are two holes that were VERY critical to Arizona winning the PAC-12 Tournament last season.

It's like Tommy might actually have to put his money where is mouth is and build + coach a team to success from near scratch. Thankfully he is in the Portal era where you can actually buy a new team every season instead of finding recruits to fill these needs. Especially the ability to get older players who aren't completely green to College basketball.

So rare now for a starter to stay 4 yrs, esp one that is All American caliber.

I do not see a situation where Tubelis is going to raise his stock any higher than it could be.
He was 1st team All-PAC, an All-American,  and a finalist for every major post-season award one could think of.
I believe Tubelis is in the same situation Johnson was in when he was here.
He hit his ceiling, and his stock was not going to go any higher, so he entered the draft.

I believe the same is for Tubelis, and he should stay in the draft if he wants to make money.
The only reason to come back is to continue to play at Arizona, and enjoy the life of a college superstar trying to rack up more banners/accolades.

If Tubelis retuned and improved his 3 point shot, he may jump from a mid 2nd round pick to a fringe lottery.

Even if that occurred, the guaranteed money wouldn't compensate for an additional year of not playing in the league...unless Arizona finds a sponsor that is will to dish out a generous NIL deal.

He'll absolutely make an NBA roster at some point. Selfishly, I'd prefer to see him in an Arizona uniform as a senior so he can lead the way to a final four and earn some additional hardware.

We'll find out his destiny in the near future!

NBA teams don't care about the accolades. They care if you can be a 3+D guy, elite handles+passing, elite rebounding or be an Iso Ball Shot Creator.

Right now all Tube has proven is he can catch deep lobs to the post vs 6'8" competition and perform easy layups.

If he returns and shows a mid-range + 3pt shot as well as elite passing + screening, he will be a lottery pick.

A senior be a lottery pick?
That is something that is VERY hard to come by!
His age and lack of expanded skill set is going to limit him.
Add in that this expanded gameplay would only be for one season, and it might hurt him even more.
Scouts may wonder if this was a lightning in the bottle situation, or would he be able to continue this at the next level?
It can cause a lot of pause on his draft stock, but all it takes is one program to fall in love with him.

When is the last time a senior went in the lottery?
Wasn't it Duarte from Oregon in 2021?
He transferred, but he was like 23 or something like that?
That was the 13th pick, so he BARELY made the cut.

(I just realized I sound like I am rooting against Tubelis, but I promise I am not lol)
