Quote from: mvpreed2 on May 30, 2023, 04:00:09 PMList has been modified and updated with the commitment of transfer G Caleb Love from North Carolina.
Love should also be the 13th scholarship player on this roster, meaning Lloyd's roster is set for the 2023-24 season.

Love is a big time get for Tommy. I'm wondering what the plan is for minutes.

From what my eyes tell me, KB/JB/CL/OB are going to get all the minutes they can handle.
KJ/PL are going to be getting starter type of minutes.
Somehow, I believe DA/HV are going to be the two bigs off the bench with no idea how many minutes they get.
The entire 2023 class is a wildcard to me and I have ZERO clue about ANY of them!
Those listed above follow the trend of CTL going with a 7-8 man rotation with that 8th man getting limited quality reps.

Sounds like a recipe for some angry younglings that will declare their intentions to opt to transfer out before 2nd semester starts. I can't see a universe where Tommy has a happy team that is only 7 or 8 deep. It needs to be more throughout the season then end of March, tightening up is only natural, but that's why you play 9-10 players all year. So they are all ready to play big minutes in short rotations "as-needed" per matchup with elite chemistry.

This is what Tommy needs to learn.

I will go a step further and say that you are one injury away from giving someone 10-15mins more than what they are used to.
I have played on teams that went 6-7 deep, and others that went 8-9 deep.
I will say that 8-9 rotation made it easier to go harder because you had more bodies to throw out, and you got to rest a bit longer.
I still believe KB/JB/CL/OB are going to be the heavy minute leaders on this team next season.

Wow, that's a HUGE pickup for Tang and the Purple Cats!  Can't wait to see if Kaluma can continue their momentum.
