No, but he didn't speak up when his supposed "best friend" was taken from his home amidst a silly investigation that was the responsibility of our entire staff.  Neither have spoken since...and it's disgusting.  It also says a lot about his character.

Miller is a total scum bag and his coaching is mediocre at best. Glad he's gone and it would make me really happy to see Xavier fail miserably, under his stewardship.

Miller said many times that he did nothing wrong and the facts stood. Book got caught red handed. No amount of friendship would change those facts. I understand any and all resentment. I don't necessarily believe that friendship and work mix well together. . So in the end - the way I view it is everyone had expectations of personal relationships and some feel let down, but no one should think there is some sort of Tom Sawyer Huckleberry Finn Blood Brothers scenario here between Miller and Book.

If it were Archie Miller instead of Book perhaps I could possibly see a reason for Sean to over extend and make some comments. Before the false Ayton story came out, no one really had an opinion like this at all about Miller. Then it turns out the actual situation was regarding Book and Rawle. So really it's all just very biased from the jump.

You can't pretend that Miller had no clue about Book's relationships with Rawle and the other prospects in question.

In the coaching industry, friends and work DO mix. Head coaches treat their assistants like family. Book and Sean has that bond and Miller disassociated immediately when he wanted to selfishly salvage his own reputation. Not even visiting your longtime assistant in prison. That's bullshit.

Wow. Texas didn't want to take any chances. Next!

This has been news all day, but I thought I would post that I believe this type of stuff is exactly what sets Women back in the quest for being believed when horrible things occur to them in a He Said/She Said capacity. I am standing for my opinion on the matter, not for whatever facts nor lack of that exist publicly. For the few Women who walk back their statements for whatever reason whether they are being paid to do so or whether they lied in the first place or other reasons, there are hundreds of others in lesser status situations that suffer mightily. It does grind my gears and I believe it is completely in-bounds to subject Beard to the court of public opinion.

If Beard doesn't sue Texas for his money then that will be a key indicator that he got away with it and is counting his blessings. We will find out about that over time. If he does sue, that would be consistent with him maintaining his story he did nothing wrong / acted in self defense (lol sure). If I were Beard, which I would never be, I would leave it alone and look to start over potentially in the Pro's as a low level assistant and stay away from College for now.

It sounds like Texas found enough evidence from the authorities to justify firing him. Beard's girlfriend didn't state that she wasn't assaulted but she didn't want to take him through the legal process.

My assumption is that Beard AND his girlfriend hope to sue Texas after the charges are dropped so he can pay her off to just "go away". Pretty sick situation...
