Silent commits?

Dead of summer is getting to a lot of us. There are currently a few silent commits to the football program. One is a 4 star OL guy that is very high on us. While I am excited for these commits, are they really commits? Why would someone give a silent commit?

Couple reasons. Still looking? Maybe wants to commit but wants to enjoy the recruiting process? Free trips are hard to turn down in my book and I would certainly entertain that thought process. Maybe family involved and weeding through the process? We have seen this most notably in BB recruiting. There could be a number of other reasons as well. Either way the summer seems dead when it comes to sports and we all long for FB to get started.

Remember that these are kids in their teen years with a lot of things pushing and pulling at them. I can say that two of the silents are pretty solid, but the third I just do nt know how solid he is. There could also be a fourth but that one may be a hold my  spot while I shop around guy. Hopefully these guys will just come out and commit soon so we can have something to be excited about as they are some pretty good players. OL guys always make me think we are headed in the right direction.
