I hope that kid has a financial advisor that is going to help him with his money.
Signing a contract may be all and good, but if you don't handle it the right way, he will be like Antoine Walker, Terrell Owens and the many other athletes to be dead broke after their careers are over.

If he signed a Two-Way contract then this might not be the smartest purchase to make right away, but everyone wants to buy their mom a house & a car.   I'm also sure he got or gets himself a new ride.

The kid is going to be making 6 figures somewhere... but who knows for how long.  I get that he wants to support and repay his mother but with a $60,000 car?  God I hope someone is looking out for this kid's interests or he will be a broke 35 year old w/ no degree and he seems to be burning his University of Arizona bridges that may come in handy in the future.
