Is his ineligablity at UCLA a school thing or is he ineligable at other svhools as well like Memphis, Arizona, etc...?
If he were eligable at the othe schools and it was only a UCLA thing, would anyone want him here at Arizona given the circumstances surrounding him?
Would SM even consider it?
While most do not believe he is a one and done, he has some ability and we are thin down low. He is not a Braun which would not contribute for several years.
I don't see him coming here either way but thought I'd put the thought out there.

Not super opposed to it but I am definitely over the story. Wish the kid luck, doesn't sound like college will be his thing regardless and definitely want team guys not dudes solely consumed with getting to the league or their own agenda.

Relationship with him is over at this point. Memphis seems like the most likely landing spot if not UCLA.

I started this just to stir some thoughts. I would not be opposed but would rather we saved the scholie for next year we likely will. I call taking a grad transfer saving a scholie!
As I said, I don't see it happening. There are certainly bigger fish in the ocean for the 19 class and beyond.

I do want to wish the young man the best in whatever direction he goes.

Assuming this is a publicity stunt and he could be eligible, yes I would want him here, for a lot of the wrong reasons.
He is a versatile 6'8 forward, I would say an upgrade from Theilemans.
He said he wants to be a OND anyway so he wouldn't be on campus long.
Use him the same way he is trying to use us, ship him off to the NBA, and get a better prospect in 2019.

Just like the OP, I don't care about this story anymore and don't care where he ends up.
He could have waited it out like Williams and recommitted, but instead he jumps ship and commits to UCLA within a week so that gave me a feeling of what this is..

I was actually looking forward  to shareef coming to arizona was disappointed when he quickly committed to ucla but would like him to be a cat just don't think it is a possibility.

At first, I thought it would be cool only to have Shaq in the stands for the home games and some of the publicity it would generate.  Then the fake news broke and this kid bailed on us hard.  I don't give a damn about him now and only hope he ends up in the Pac12 somewhere so we can beat him down a couple of times during the season.

I too am concerned with how fast this kid was wiling to jump ship.  I don't know if he ever really wanted to be a CAT.  However, in the meantime, I will trust Coach Miller on this one.  If he feels that he should extend an Olive Branch to Shariff- I will go with it. If, on the other hand coach chooses to ignore him---I am also good with that.  I guess time will tell- but I am hoping for a "last minute" big man.

For me it was the way he decommitted, "lol don't wanna be involved with that." Right after the whole sclabotch debacle. That's what you say when you find out the girl you are dating has three kids she's abandoned, is married to two guys in separate states and has the INS trying to deport her.

So I didn't cry when he committed to ucla, and if he goes to play for penny, well I hope we get to drubb him in the tourney.

Because I was looking forward to whooping him 2 or 3 times next season.
